Can there be more bad news? Weakness in its main market, adverse currency effect, about to leave FTSE250,...... but it could bounce back sometime, as conveyor systems wear out and some economies return to growth. IMHO. I have been out of them for some time but have just bought back a small holding. Fingers crossed

Today's announcement is the inevitable consequence of this year's decline in 'sp' and now results in Fenner having to leave FTSE 250, despite a flurry of PDMR buys presumably designed to raise market confidence earlier this month. The relegation takes place after the close of business on 19 December 2014 and becomes effective on 22 December 14.

Yep, was quite bullish on these until commodities really started tanking. Copper's down to 5 yr lows nearly. Iron ore is weak too.

Hard to see miners increasing production as commodity prices fall to where it starts getting non-viable in places to extract.

The chart here and commodity prices will tell you when to buy imo.

All imo/dyor etc.

I thought you were bullish a few months ago after director buy CR?I feel a bit daft saying fully valued then I should have been short. Ironically this is the first time I have looked in months.

200p is the chart support here - no need to even look at these till that level gets hit - especially the way commodities are tanking.

All imo/dyor etc

Well the market cap today would see them relegated into the small cap index next week when the review is done.

Germans considering pulling out of coal power generation? You must be kidding!
Anyway, I need to recycle this short position and a quick look at the scandi peers might give me some opportunities.

hvs, well predicted - the graph looks so awful I could imagine 200p now, but anything can happen......

edit - it will probably put up a fight at 250 for a while

I said £ 2.50 and here it comes.

Thinks with very very poor profits RIGHTS ISSUE could be looming.

Opened at 286p and closed at 290.1p so a good start today and a promising path to recovery.

The Germans bought the belt business for 1.0x sales - similar margins. Their purchase price included a control premium - which is not available to minority shareholders in a listed company, unless well, there is a bid of course.

How much is AEP worth? Don't know but they are in an investment-phase which means contracting margins in the next 12-24 months. Incidentally having AEP may mean that FENR is trading as a holding co, at a discount to its sum-of-the-part value.

I bet that the words "takeover/bid target" will pop in very soon on the forum - may be with the magic letters "GE" to give credibility to the author in order to prop up the share price.

The ceo would not buy unless he had confidence. Just finished reading a surprisingly bullish article on mining supply company forecast sales. Iron ore and coal prices may be rock bottom but there is some decent business out there.
What is AEP worth as a stand-alone business I wonder?
