Way to go here - not even back to the pre Covid level yet.

Overlooked by the herd chasing any bio-tech type business, benefitting from the rush to find a vaccine or an aid to assist NHS.

Will go well this week methinks.

Is this what you are referring to, Ducatiman?

The type of work you may be able to undertake will vary and some work will carry more risk, for example you may be needed to work in:

patient-facing roles, including remote consultations
triage support in call centres / NHS111.

Your employer should particularly bear in mind those who are at higher risk of illness – including those aged 70 or older- and consider whether it would be more appropriate for them to be deployed in low-risk settings. These workers could undertake patient assessments and consultations remotely, including from home.

Your employer should:

ensure staff have access to the IT tools and equipment they need to carry out their duties. They will need to have access to smartcards, systems, online consultation software, remote desktops, log-ins, and additional licenses may need to be purchased
encourage remote consultations and home working for at-risk staff and ensure they receive the necessary induction and training to use any software and hardware. When working remotely, staff may require equipment such as headsets (with a mic), webcams, telephones, dongles, tokens, and laptops and access to the networks/WiFi

provide GDPR training where it is requested or deemed necessary. They should clearly outline what constitutes a breach of regulations and where an employer or employee is liable for this.

Remote consultations, triage, using appropriate technology, GDPR. Bleepa is ideal.

I agree with your comments, Yump. FDBK should really make the most of this terrible situation. I hope they're really pushing Bleepa.

Well best result for fdbk would be if Bleepa kind of got a life of its own if a few of them start using it and suggesting it to others. If it crossed from trust to trust, that would be massive for fdbk.

Yump, they are asking thousands of retired clinicians to help by working remotely, add to that those who are self isolating.

One thing is for certain now. Apps are now firmly on the nhs and national agenda and so is management at distance.

Will just have to wait to see if that results in anything tangible for fdbk. My feeling is that the clinicians probably have enough to manage without adopting/learning to use Bleepa in any volume even if its free, but the end result is inevitably more publicity.

Although this wasn't particularly what I was looking for, I think there could be a role for Bleepa. Interesting comments at the end of the article. We have onboard a former assistant technical advisor to Bill Gates in Adam Denning, so surely there is the expertise to use (incorporate) Bleepa into an NHS specific use of Microsoft Teams. Just thinking out loud. Any thoughts?

Both primary care and secondary care services are also increasingly utilising video technology, whether that’s through meetings using Microsoft Teams, which has now been made available to hospitals across the country, or through remote consultations with GPs or outpatient clinics.

“People try things that previously they would have worried about simply because they weren’t standard practice,” says Wilkinson.

“I think there has been a sort of sense in the system that somehow it wasn’t quite right not to be in the room with your patient, and that nobody wants to break ranks and create a new modus operandi for how that kind of interaction should work.

“And of course, suddenly, we’re testing these new ways of working and they work absolutely fine. So I think it’s going to be a really different NHS when we come out.”

Its still surprising how low some scum will go. Although I’m not religious, it would be nice to believe there is a judgement day of some sort.

Its not being tested in all hospitals, its being offered free to the nhs.

People lets try not to make a fast buck from a difficult situation by misquoting.

I know ethics and morals come way down the list in the market normally - perhaps time for some integrity.

This is partly why I wanted to increase my holding before Easter weekend. We dont need markets open for Bleepa to be having an impact

I cant find it on the app store, it would be good if people could find it and download, even if they cant use it yet, data might be hospital controlled, but demand might be clinician controlled

Our market cap currently around just £4 million.
NYCT has gone from £4 million to almost £250 million at the time of writing.
4p to 500p in a few months!

Yes I will be delighted once our chart starts to resemble the one at NYCT.
With all this money being poured into everything Covid, we’ve been truly overlooked.

Overlooked, undervalued and unknown.

Massive potential here and BLEEPA being tested in all NHS hospitals FREE OF CHARGE is a major coup.

Added.

Prof Rory Shaw

We especially need ways to enable experienced, knowledgeable clinical staff currently being isolated, to continue to support their juniors and other colleagues who are on-site, looking after patients with the full range of diseases.

Doctors will always want to help in a crisis, and we?must to ensure?they will be given the best?possible?tools to deliver?in this challenging environment.?

Remote working technology offers great benefit to the NHS – enabling specialists, radiologists, acute and other frontline staff to securely review and discuss the ongoing clinical management of all those coming to hospital as well as the growing coronavirus caseload no matter their location - facilitating rapid diagnosis and treatment of patients.

This remote support can be exceptionally valuable, and provides doctors in isolation a way to support and contribute to the battle against coronavirus. For instance, in many situations, registrars are having to make highly significant decisions and would value the input of a senior clinician.

Also, all too often, there are simply not enough radiologists to report coronavirus studies in addition to existing non-coronavirus case reporting commitments.

There is a need to engage with willing clinicians in quarantine. They can offer guidance and support during this crisis but also general supervision and management across all clinical areas as the NHS continues to deliver on-going care.

I am delighted that, at Feedback Medical, we’ve made our tool Bleepa free to all NHS frontline staff. Our ongoing relationship with the Pennine NHS Trust already means that this technology will be central to the diagnosis and management of all COVID-19 patients arriving in their hospital.

Images displayed on Bleepa are certified as being of clinical review quality in compliance with RCR guidelines. Cases can be discussed through secure instant messaging and image annotation allowing decisions to be communicated instantly between team members which can be invaluable when input is needed from clinicians.

Bleepa works on any internet connected device including mobile phones, laptops and desktops meaning that clinicians already have the hardware that they need at home.

The NHS is doing a fantastic job in unprecedented circumstances. There is an additional workforce at home that wants to help – we just need to provide them the means.
