A poor reaction to the AGM statement today, confirming some softness in the finance and banking sector. But surely most of this has already been priced in (by the institutions?). Let's see where it bottoms but excellent long-term quality on offer when it does.

The drift down continues, presumably due to FDM's exposure to the financial sector. Personally I think these fears are somewhat overdone for a quality company that still has strong growth prospects and currently yields over 6% in dividends. Let's see what the company says in their AGM statement about current trading.

Hi all,

My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a ‘Twin Petes Investing’ Podcast last week and FDM was one of the Stocks we discussed and I think it looks very appealing, although neither of us hold it at the moment.

This one contains a second part about how I use Spreadbets to gear-up my Returns but in a low-risk way and very much treating my Spreadbet Account like normal Shares. I talk in depth about all the nuances and things you need to be careful of when using Leverage, but also the excellent gains you can create. As always we also chatted about loads of other Stocks and Ideas for research and a fair bit of educational stuff with regards to Investing and Portfolio Management.

This seem to have reached a bottom and start a climb again in the region of 10-11.
I will put out a question, how much do you value this stock on fundamentals and where does it stand among its peers?

FDM is clearly a good company and I am thinking of starting a small position. Price is 928p. Interims maybe 23rd July. HSBC have a target price of 1040p. Seems to be lots of chart support at say 900p. I will be a long term holder. Stockopedia likes it with a StockRank of 74 which includes a very high Quality Rank of 99 though Value Rank is only 20. So maybe a bit pricey. Grateful for any thoughts as markets, particularly the US, are toppy!?

Seen that tip in IC, never come across the stock before but doing a bit of research on the name looks like a very solid company.....why shouldn't you buy or even add up here ?

Good question - Investec (albeit house) upped 50p on the ahead statement to £11. UK unemployment increase? Looks a massive overreaction if so - only 60% of revs are now UK and we know the computer programming sector is doing well from previous GDP figures.

Some crude calculations - EPS growth for 2017 is forecast at 29% and the share price was £8 in late Apr 17. 10 months of that would equate to 24% for a current target of £9.92.
