Ok, it's been a long, frustrating six months for shareholders here, so when the RNS is published early this week we hope that our CEO proves that Jim Mellon's description of him as "the maestro" is worthy of the accolade!

Perhaps some of the Investee Companies feel that updating the news section of their websites is of minor importance in the current climate of social media. SatoshiPay regularly update their news on the Twitter feed, as does Meinhard Benn. We've had this discussion before Lauders and it's not something we're in favour of, but I think it's the modern trend now and we are stuck with it I'm afraid.:-)

Hardly surprising that response is muted if they don't advertise it!

"According to Edelman, one challenge facing the Back a Boiler initiative is that students don’t know what it is. Purdue Research Foundation has been trying to present the program neutrally, treating it like they would any other financial option open to students and not advertising the program. Edelman said that because of this, “response was muted.”

But he hopes that as the program becomes more established, more students will see it as an alternative to private loans that better suits their needs."

Well, having my own online troll is a smidge of the way down on my personal bucket list but nevertheless it's there and unticked so yes, treat as a compliment :)

On a serious note I think they are missing the point of the moderation on this board. Firstly, this is a forum for current/possible investors to express an opinion which, in the lonely world of private investors, allows you to connect with fellow investors who may or may not share your personal view. People with a negative view will be heard as long as there is substance to the comment, conversely, rampers with a 'fill yer boots' with no supporting evidence will also be blocked. These type of comments add nothing to the general discussion.

Long term holders here have been, quite rightly, very negative in regards to lack of information / updates originating from the company - these comments are welcome as it is a gripe we all hold. As far as I am aware, none of these comments/contributors have been moderated.

I for one am also negative on the Moon Active investment - just after the announcement I tried the various offerings for a week (I admit, I'm a nerd for online games etc) but failed to see how they will capture someone's interest for long enough to start generating revenue off them. On the other hand, with the exception of the Diabetic boot, I am very excited about the remaining portfolio and can see significant value being extracted from these investments. As I've said before, this for me is a long burn investment and I'd happily wait a couple of years for the true potential to be released.

Ok, rant over - back to my Christmas cards :)

Looking at the buys to sells today, I'm surprised the share price didn't budge.Hopefully it will be a different story next week if/when Interim Results are released. Rightly or wrongly I have high expectations for the upcoming results, on account of the recent hints at the positive progress being made across the FFWD portfolio. We will soon see for sure..

Was just watching a short bit of the BBC news and they were talking about Nintendo's launch of Super Mario on mobiles today and how big a market gaming is at the moment. Look forward to the next RNS and seeing if there are any developments in this respect seeing as the shift to gaming seems to be a major focus with FFWD now.
