LONDON (AFX) - Video surveillance company Farsight PLC said first-half
pretax profit was 1,000 stg against a loss of 189,000 stg a year earlier, with
sales up 37 pct to 777,000 stg from 567,000 stg a year earlier.
Farsight said the sales pipeline is strong. The half year results are
encouraging and demonstrate that the company is now heading towards
profitability.
The company added that it believes the acquisition of monitoring contracts
announced in January will further strengthen the company's position.
In January, Farsight acquired existing CCTV monitoring contracts, which have
between 12 and 36 months before they fall due for renewal for 55,000 stg. The
revenue they will bring to the company is 276,000 stg per year.

i sent them an email last week, asking them when we might see a rise in the sp, considering that they are supposed to be a leader in their field!!, and when the directors would put their hands in their own pockets and buy some shares, and i didn't mean the odd grands worth!!. needless to say, i didn't get a reply!!!.
