02/3/2022 09:21 | Possibly on the way back to 10p - Very illiquid - potentially high political risk - very investor unfriendly and general market weakness in respect of loss making companies. | pugugly
02/3/2022 09:16 | Placing? Something stinks about it that is for sure | thesaint5
02/3/2022 09:14 | This drop is not company specific regional sentiment has taken this stock down too | jailbird
02/3/2022 08:53 | You'd think this was in Belarus. | goodgrief
01/3/2022 15:52 | A couple of stop losses triggered at 20p looks like... | cyberbub
01/3/2022 15:25 | I would hope someone like Davies would be playing the long game here. I'm very much in support of the West's sanctions and have always seen Putin as a Mafia capo, clearly Kaz isn't exactly democratic either but it's not under sanctions and isn't invading its neighbours. I also despise the Tories personally. But the investment case here is as strong as ever, and many Western funded miners operate successfully in the country, so as long as the political risks don't increase further I don't see anything changing much. Just my view FWIW. | cyberbub
01/3/2022 15:18 | Just that I'm aware he's had some senior roles in the conservative party (Treasurer and CEO of the conservatives). And still has close ties with them. My other thought is, going forward who would want to buy a business in Kaz with such political risk now, though we are taking 3 years time when the plant is been up and running. | ttlance
01/3/2022 15:15 | I can still get a quote to sell 100k at 21.35p, so someone still wants them. | cyberbub
01/3/2022 15:10 | Who knows TT, it's as clear as mud. I understand that a couple of the key scientists and engineers at the plant are Russian but I don't imagine that they've been affected in Kaz.What's the story about Davies links? | cyberbub
01/3/2022 15:06 | Cyber - What's your thoughts on the likelihood of M Davis pulling his investment out due to his ties with the conservative government? I'm aware FAR rely on Russian expertise for the running and development of their plant | ttlance
01/3/2022 13:41 | A good day for vanadium if you're not based in Kazakhstan. | goodgrief
28/2/2022 14:40 | PS let's hope it stays that way...! | cyberbub
28/2/2022 10:57 | I fear FAR is being seen as a Russian company although obviously it's not. The political risk has definitely increased somewhat in recent weeks - if we didn't have Mick Davies on board I might be considering my position. But given his support (ie Western money not Russian money) and the site's distance from Russia, I think it's still worth holding here for the longer term. There's certainly no massive rush for the exits in terms of volume. No advice intended | cyberbub
25/2/2022 16:18 | Nice bit of buying today. | driver101
21/2/2022 16:18 | Defo LOL. I can't see £2 short term personally, but certainly if the final BFS comes through positive in 6-7 months time and VBR confirm their investment at 75p then investors will draw their own conclusions IMO! A nice rise in the V price over the year wouldn't do any harm either. | cyberbub
21/2/2022 12:17 | A nice £2 short term target from Liberum would be nice. | driver101
21/2/2022 09:09 | Interesting RNS today - Liberum being appointed as joint brokers. Liberum are a relatively heavyweight broker in the City - I assume this means they are going to be boosting the marketing of the company amongst banks and instis to help with the bigger funding package later this year? | cyberbub
20/2/2022 12:24 | Been reading past FAR announcements, RNS dated 28th June 2021 gives me confidence in this investment. Sir Mick Davis, Chairman, commented: "The Ferro Alloy and Vision Blue teams have worked closely together over recent weeks to enhance the Feasibility Study for the Balasausqandiq vanadium deposit and we are looking forward to reporting on progress in the coming months. As we continue our work I am increasingly convinced of the Balasausqandiq deposit's potential to become the leading vanadium asset in the world. Uniquely, Balasausqandiq benefits from a combination of low capital and operating costs, access to infrastructure, an advantageous location and a scale that means it can meet our expectations for significant growth in demand for vanadium - which we foresee due to its growing use in high grade steel and flow batteries." | ttlance
18/2/2022 17:03 | The great thing about FAR is that there is no fear of a massive low-priced dilution for the mine construction capex, as happens elsewhere when the greedy/corrupt financiers short the share price before completing the financing, to take a bigger chunk of the company. Mick Davies has already committed enough equity financing (including a big tranche at 3X the current SP!) to raise the Stage 1 debt package... So we're sitting pretty IMHO. | cyberbub
16/2/2022 09:45 | Hopefully we will get an RNS about the start of the RS drilling soon. From the Nov 2021 Feasibility update “The RC contract provides for an expected start-date of 1 February 2022” | thomas11
28/1/2022 09:49 | Easy to sell harder to buy. Hopefully a sign of some stakebuilding going on | dunns_river_falls
28/1/2022 08:17 | Cyber, Good point about the impact of the recent spike. I have overlooked that. Co really needs to put hedging in place to minimise that. 25p area seems to have provided good support. Thanksfully this is not listed on AIM | jailbird
27/1/2022 16:33 | Nice rebound. | driver101
27/1/2022 14:44 | The share price is showing strong support in the 25p area again, let's hope we bounce off a triple bottom and make a strong move north. Newsflow must be incoming soon. The Vanadium price does have an impact, but only in terms of output from our small plant. The most recent spike in the V price actually caused FAR some cashflow problems as we continued to buy raw materials at increased prices and then had to sell them at low prices when the spike collapsed. There wasn't any hedging in place. Perhaps they will have put hedging in place now that the small plant is up to full speed?Having said that, a V price increase does help sentiment in the sector...GLA NAI | cyberbub
27/1/2022 11:05 | Vanadium price on the rise | thesaint5 |
