before the oil price soared! try speaking to yourself in a mirror lol!
did you sell out too soon, why do you keep pushing this pathetic offer?

bountyhunter, try listening to yourself. You may think the offer is derisory.... yet DNO bought 28% of the company for 125p earlier this year.....

The board think it's a derisory and opportunistic offer, so does Malcy, and so do I and many others who have followed this company in depth for a long time (certainly not 'latecomers playing poker' lol), probably including the IIs regardless of what those say who it suits their agenda to suggest otherwise.
As for TM she's made the worst of Brexit as clearly said by many on all sides and I think that will be obvious on 11 Dec if not already.

Why should they? Where do shareholders go if no-one else comes in ?

It's not a derisory offer except to latecomers playing poker.

As to GKP, wouldn't GKP holders bite their hand off now?

Be careful what you wish for, not that it makes any difference. (This won't be decided by Malcy or anyone but institutional shareholders.) Last time these vivid fantasies hit the bb we were up near £1.80 thanks to posters who had not posted here before. Then they went away and we dropped back to £1.25. (Which was historically high, if you're honest.)

This may go up another 10% but it would help if there was some competition. At least if they are haggling they are facing reality. DNO playing a blinder refers to their timing. They could pay cash, and wanted to, so they just chose a moment when cash looks attractive.

Brexit be damned. Theresa made the best of a hopeless hand. This was childs play by comparison.

yes, only time will tell, the Opec meeting next week and events leading up to it will most likely have an effect on the oil price and a knock on effect here

ok it's a bit below that, but that's still way to low too be taken seriously by anyone who fully appreciates the prospects here including the IIs imo

10% on the offer would be 167p, the share price is well below that.

seriously doubt that and so does the market

They could stick 10% on their offer & get FPM for an average price below the current SP

One really wants a takeover bid when oil prices are strong.

OK they are not at their lowest, however they are not strong and the direction of travel recently has been down.

well that may have been a good investment (prior to significant oil price rises) thanks to the Faroe management team delivering the goods and a bright future

They've already picked up 28% @ 125p.......

DNO have not played a blinder by making a derisory offer any more than TM has played a blinder with her Brexit 'deal'! The IIs are not daft.

vikingbhoy - DNO have played a blinder. Posts on here are irrelevant, think FPM's future & the price DNO may have to go to, is in the hands of the OP & a handful of instos

Eh, reading the boards statement they are just haggling at this point, talking about how great a match Faroe is for DNO. DNO will increase the offer 10-20% and it will go through

He-he, ha-ha, ho-ho-ho...... just noticed this in DNO's statement

"We firmly believe that Faroe's assets, the substantial part of which are Norwegian, are better placed in the bosom of DNO, Norway's oldest independent oil and gas company, currently operating gross production of 125,000 barrels per day which compares with the 7,500 barrels of oil equivalent a day of gross production operated by Faroe"

..."Norway's oldest independent" O&G co, busy pumping oil in Kurdistan. How much Norwegian operated production do they account for?

We have a reply from the FPM BoD, hopefully a more robust defence will follow as per the announcement.

Well as I feared / suspected DNO did not waste any time in trying to nick this on the cheap....following the share price fall. I think Faroes days are numbered however I expect the deal to be sweetened to nearer the £2 level based on the recent highs. Here’s hoping.

The Internet domain site “equinor.no221; was already claimed by a veterinarian in eastern Norway.

We could do with a white knight, preferably a large and rich one.

If you agree to sell to them at 152p, and they are forced to revise their offer upwards, do you get the 152p or the higher amount eventually agreed ?

....If you sell at 152p, you get 152p regardless. If you accept an offer of 152p, which is then increased to a more realistic 357p, you get the higher price

They may be able to buy as many as they want, but if they exceed 30% they have to make an offer for the rest of the shares,

..pay attention at the back!
