12/2/2018 08:28 | There might be some upside in the block, Bue was drilled originally, but the hopes that Boomerang might be massive sadly turned to dust! | rogerlin
12/2/2018 08:03 | Sale of Fenja stake:- Should demonstrate some value? | cwa1
10/2/2018 11:26 | "Results will be announced when operations have been completed, which is estimated to take approximately 90 days". Spud was 29 Nov, and so about 70 days so far. | rogerlin
09/2/2018 14:57 | At least when they announce it as a duster the damage to the share price has already been done as this seems to have fallen more than the market. | jasper2712
08/2/2018 08:03 | Permit for Statoil to drill with Deepsea Bergen, these are not usually issued much in advance, suggests that Hades result can't be too far away? | rogerlin
07/2/2018 09:31 | Thank Rogerlin that explains it ... | jusmasel99
07/2/2018 08:36 | "The Company has written down to zero the carrying value of its interest in the Perth licence (Faroe 39.95%, increased from 34.62% following Atlantic Petroleum's withdrawal) having done the same for its interest in the Lowlander licence (Faroe 100%) in 2015. Faroe's managements view is that the current market conditions, there is a low likelihood of commercialising these interests in the near to medium term". Interims 20.09.16 had this comment. I think the interests were just relinquished. There was a PMG note from WH Ireland at about that time saying that the OGA might seek to remove Faroe from the Perth licence in view of their preoccupation with Norway. | rogerlin
07/2/2018 07:27 | Don't look in here very often these days but a note from Parkmead this morning was interesting. Upped their stake in Perth to 100% with no mention of who they got it from or how much they paid. I presume Faroe got rid of this white elephant some time ago? Sour oil - I never understood why they got involved - the cost of the processing plant would have been astronomical. | jusmasel99
05/2/2018 09:32 | We are pleased to announce the spud of the Fogelberg appraisal well, which aims to derisk and prove up commercial volumes in the Fogelberg field ahead of any decision to develop the field. Fogelberg was one of Faroe's earlier discoveries and has the potential to join a number of development and pre-development projects which are on track to significantly grow Faroe's production, cash flow and value in the coming years. The majority of these developments are a direct result of our drilling success. "Looking ahead to Faroe's 2018 exploration programme, we continue drilling on the Iris/Hades exploration well in the Norwegian Sea, before drilling the Rugne and Cassidy prospects later in the year. | rogerlin
01/2/2018 20:33 | Flash outfit, certainly seems to be self-propelled but likely needs tugs to anchor? Sadly the drill site is likely out of range of the Marine Traffic free service but we will get a spud announcement in due course. | rogerlin
01/2/2018 08:36 | Brent header chart rolled | bountyhunter
01/2/2018 08:25 | Island Innovator on the move to Fogelberg, it seems to be travelling under its own power "Underway by sail" as Marinetraffic has it, anyway the tugs are not in attendance. | rogerlin
30/1/2018 19:17 | Some falls on volume across the sector, maybe just a feeling that the oil price will not run any higher for the time being? | rogerlin
30/1/2018 16:46 | Huge trades -- presumably 2 way or the price would be completely trashed! 2nd largest of the year .... | thedudie
30/1/2018 16:17 | Down 6p in 2 days- something has leaked and it does not look like oil! | jasper2712
30/1/2018 08:05 | Now listed as KL Saltfjord, Normand Prosper and Havila Jupiter. Fogelberg spud in Feb as advertised. | rogerlin
29/1/2018 15:44 | (SPIRIT) SPIRIT ENERGY NUF NORTH SEA R/M ISLAND INNOVATOR, D/D 21 | rogerlin
26/1/2018 14:40 | Looks to me that there is a both a keen buyer and a keen seller balanced at this price.... Will the seller run out of shares first or the buyer money first???? td | thedudie
26/1/2018 14:00 | Another 200,000 share trade at 114p reported as a 'buy'. Still shares being offered at 114p, so someone's not so bullish. Will it eventually push through? | ed 123
26/1/2018 12:22 | I don't know. Do they sometimes pre-lay a month before the drill rig arrives? Hades is about 60 days into a 90 day well. The share price is having another tilt at the 114p resistance level today. I see someone has paid 114p for 200,000 shares, recorded as a 'buy'. Maybe the seller(s) will back off and it will break out? | ed 123
25/1/2018 11:33 | Does this signify that they are finishing at Hades? | rogerlin
24/1/2018 10:08 | Ed 123...it would rather indicate that some news has leaked out. | uncertain times
24/1/2018 10:04 | Spiking up for some reason (115.8/116.2p). Takes me back to that big volume day, where 115p was seen. Good news coming, possibly? | ed 123
19/1/2018 08:04 | NPD seem enthused by the response to this latest round. | rogerlin
19/1/2018 00:33 | It is interesting that in GS's Comments in Tuesday's RNS about the new awards he mentions two planned drills later this year, Rungne and Cassidy, but not Brasse Extension. One new award includes PL740C to the north of the existing Brasse Extension which was pencilled in for possible drilling in mid-2018. Perhaps it is just a pause, to get the new extension geology incorporated before finalising the campaign. Similarly SE Tor which was a possible drill for Q3 in the September presentation but might also be affected by the latest award PL006E. GS did not mention Oshun at all. Cassidy was not planned for this year, but now looks probable. | wbodger |
