29/1/2013 17:39 | I've emailed the company for details... will post here if they are forthcoming with anything | ryandj2222
28/1/2013 10:08 | I am sure it is good news (fingers crossed).... major realisation, offer for one of the holdings perhaps? Or it could be that one of the holdings has gone bust or something. Or I could speculate all day.... best wait for the news! | ryandj2222
28/1/2013 09:23 | It's the Restricted Voting shares that have been suspended as they are now worthless after the final payment/distribution | chrisgail
28/1/2013 09:05 | Hmm... what's happened here? | ryandj2222
16/10/2012 12:49 | Thanks all. The MW Article might explain the most recent jump up. As someone said 220 looks quite feasible in the near future but happy to keep holding some of these. | ryandj2222
16/10/2012 10:55 | Ahh - thnx for that Wirral. As I live in France my copy always arrives a few days late; and I invariably forget to look at the online edition! Anyway, postie has just been - et voila. In the "What would I invest in now" column Peter Walls of Unicorn Mastertrust fund recommends HSL, FPEO & NAS. | skyship
16/10/2012 10:23 | yeah, was highlighted in moneyweek on Friday too | wirralowl
16/10/2012 07:29 | See Post No. 25. The recent Strategic Change makes this a stock both for Capital Gain & now Income... Did you miss it? If so look at the recent RNS. | skyship
15/10/2012 15:25 | Wow these seem to be doing well lately! Been holding for a while, surprised by the sudden jump. What's on? | ryandj2222
10/10/2012 20:58 | doh...alan too right...i was half asleep...ta anyway | badtime
10/10/2012 19:51 | Skyship - I have sent you a PM. S | smarm
10/10/2012 13:09 | BT - no, not worth it. The GRY @ 138.5p is now a lamentable 4.4%. Perhaps buy a few IREZ after today's PCTN news, or top-up your RECP if you can buy below par. | skyship
10/10/2012 12:47 | FPEZ - thought you could have worked that one out badtime! Hardly worth looking at as I think they are only yielding 4.5% or thereabouts at present. | alanji
10/10/2012 11:10 | anyone know epic for the zeros TIA | badtime
10/10/2012 10:05 | Followed you in skyship - I leave it to you to decide whether my pockets are deep enough to buy 80k I like the asset allocation (not too much in North America): Europe 57% UK 28% US 8% Global 6% the only gearing is the £35m zdp shares and the co had no problem increasing to £50m its revolving credit facility with RBS in February. Factsheet: Further info here: EDITED to correct links and allocation | alanji
10/10/2012 09:59 | Bought into these at a tad under 166p on Monday, then posted a general update across the PE piste on the PE thread see below My extract on FPEO was as follows: ==================== FPEO: Sp 165p, NAV 253p, Disc=34.8%. Recent strategy change for a 4% of NAV annual return payout currently translates into a 6.1% yield. This new dividend policy combined with the discount, together make the current share price extremely attractive. I bought into these today. (NB: they went XD of 4.96p just last week) ==================== Looking at the chart I'm expecting a short-term run to 180p, then on to 220p next Spring... Good to see that 80k purchase @ 168p today seems as though deeper pockets than mine might agree! | skyship
22/8/2012 11:01 | I thought good news today with dividend and NAV up and good realizations including post period end. Bartec seems a good deal. The market seems to have reacted with a yawn. Hold the zeros but sold the ordinaries basically because of concerns of macro market outlook for companies like this rather than anything specific with FPEO. Not sure if it warrants the current 37% discount. Interesting that like 3i they feel that German middle market companies are good hunting territory for them. Given comments on incentive plan note that in H1 12 this was £660k in line with that of £626k in H1 2011 and non paid in H2 11. | cerrito
04/5/2012 08:16 | One month on the new set up we would have to say it is a success, the shares have risen and narrowed the discount. I think that 190 is a reasonable short term target, once it is achieved we will have further quarterly updates to tell us how the business is doing, slow but sure growth we would expect, so in my opinion this remains a long-term hold, now for both capital growth and income. | chrisgail
03/4/2012 10:14 | agree with both of you in that a positive news story which should help the share price and narrow the discount but at the same time the incentive plan does appear generous although to be honest do not have time/energy to see how it compares with present one. | cerrito
03/4/2012 09:14 | I don't like the look of the proposed manager incentive plan. | huttonr
03/4/2012 07:43 | New Dividend policy should make the share more interesting and therefore narrow the discount to nett asset value. | chrisgail
11/12/2011 17:30 | I have started a Private Equity thread ("PE"): I do hope that readers will bookmark this new thread and share their knowledge and expertise over there from time to time. | skyship
25/11/2011 18:54 | I thought an upbeat report in the circumstances | cerrito
23/9/2011 17:29 | No longer hold these but note that the share price has been very steady especially compared to SVI and iii. | cerrito |
