Most of the consensus is that tax is unlikely to double but increase at the lower end of the range.

Don't disageee but a doubling of the tax take will have a huge impact on that ability.

Any Gov't tax increases could lead to more industry consolidation. Evoke is the standout stock which is valued at a takeaway price at the moment. Expect more mergers and takeovers as the big plays scale up for cost synergies.

I don't see them avoiding it - they are very under taxed when compared to other vices. I think she's going to clobber them based on the reports. Easy hit and will get no blowback with ' the voters' ..

Not agree with you, reality, it will not effect this company where tax go up or down, there is no guarantee tax go up either. profit could play different way paying off debt that's what they are doing now anyway or share buy back. So it will be zero effect for that news .News update this Friday will be another boost for share price , expected good quarterly growth

Think the gaming companies are going to take a hit here. Less money for sponsoring football teams ?

No a chance this is screwed right now, markets hate uncertainty, this will remain down for a while even if this push out a decent update. This company feels doomed.

Gaming tax only on net profit on UK gaming revenue not outside, EVOK probably not pay any UK tax at all, eg using profit to pay debt , share buy back, extension of market, etc

Wonderful, seems Pers decision to leave the US market because of lower margins is another mistake, if gaming tax increases happen the UK margin will be horrendous for EVOKE, time to look for other markets.Per is not having a good run in his first 12 months.

Still sleeping ?

Gambling stocks Entain, Evoke and Flutter Entertainment today fell sharply amid speculation that Rachel Reeves is considering a £3 billion tax raid on the sector.

According to the Guardian, Treasury officials are understood to be weighing up proposals to double some of the taxes levied on online casinos and bookmakers.

I'm a bit confused , one week you are telling us this is better than Rank and you have bought loads, but other weeks you post the opposite. Is it because you have forgotten what you had said before or because you are a hot day trader? Asking for a friend.
