25/6/2002 17:23 | Topped up today and I will keep averaging down as long as the price drops, as my reason for investing hasn't changed one bit since flotation. As I am in for the long term I would love a chance to buy this stock for 1p but as 1.5 to 2p of cash is underpinning the current price I doubt I will get a chance. Currently all 12 investments are valued at peanuts. The market doesn't believe ANY of the 12 investments will ever make it. I am hoping for just 2 or 3 to come to fruition. That would be nice. | jdschwartz

24/6/2002 17:19 | Can you believe the drop in price over the last six months from such low volume? Unbelievable. Still, you can see how the stock reached 55p when the sentiment was positive. Surely some positive news soon about a flotation or cash sale of one of the investments could ignite the shareprice once more. Otherwise we will have to stick them in the drawer for 5 years rather than the promised 2 years or so bounded about by the board when they first floated!! | jdschwartz
24/6/2002 17:14 | I spoke to the company secretary the week before last and she told me that RB was preparing them as we speak and they should be released last week or this week. | jdschwartz

23/4/2002 21:51 | megadealer, If I had the time I would post you a very long post weighing up all the pro's and con's of this investment company, but I am a bit short of time at the moment. See iii board for rickstubbs's views and club evt website accessed through green logo on www.nameshopping.co. The upside certainly seems to me to be multiples greater than the downside. Cash at around the 2p mark seems to be underpining the share to date and with a current city valuation of all EVT's investments currently at 1p per share, It is the distinct lack of news and general market sentiment for this type of stock that has caused this ridiculously low valuation. There is absolutley no hope in the price at the moment. IMHO the hope and cash part of the price could dramatically change on realisation of just one of the 12 investments in the kitty at present, without the prospect of a further investment. I compare owning stocks like this to fishing. If you wait long enough, you will get a bite. There will be false dawns but these can be opportunities in themselves. Opportunities to sell on the hype and buy back in to reduce your average and increase your holding. If we land a fish then the rewards are second to none. One thing about EVT really makes it stand out from the rest. That is the fact that the Chief Exec holds a great big chunk of the company(£2m of his own money invested at seed stage) and is often reassuring shareholders of his commitment and confidence in his current investments and his vision of realising great returns through stockmarket flotations of investee companies, some of which are probably being arranged as we speak. It is this prospect that could see the shareprice in a totally different trading range more akin to the time of the original flotation of EVT. The slide in the shareprice is derived from Dresdner dumping millions of shares on the market.(see rns and shareprice graph over the same period) If the reverse happened and large investors decided they wanted a bar of EVT or one of its investees, we could see fireworks. I have my ticket for the EVT ride and intend to sit on it for a few years if need be. Topping up when the mood takes me. Not many people hold stock at this price. I am luck enough to be one. If we see sub 3p, I will get a loan out if I have to, to top up once more. All my opinion only. Do Your Own Reseach | jdschwartz
