AtlanticBridge....re: Montoya and D&A Income.

Their holdings in ENK....have not changed significantly....since they last reported....that they had added more....as outlined in two RNSs in Sept 2011....but didn`t realise there was a connection between the two....until yesterday.

A Proactive article....said this about Montoya....in May last year:

Little is known about Montoya, which first came to the notice of European Nickel investors when it announced it held 5.76 per cent of the company's share in March this year after buying almost six million shares in the firm. But whoever is behind the investment vehicle also appears to be currently interested in precious coins and high technology.

Also in March, Montoya raised its stake in specialist investment company Avarae Global Coins (LON: AVR) to 25.8 per cent after having held around 12 per cent of the business in December. Montoya also holds significant stakes in gas cylinder and biogas group Pressure Technologies (LON: PRES) and high tech engineering group Elektron (LON:EKT).

AtlanticBridge....there you go!....ENK management said....they would be issuing more RNSs....this year....lol.

Let`s just hope....yesterday`s director appointment....brings more "oversight"....to "matters general" at ENK.

It`s needed IMHO....DYOR.

Jezza if we're talking hedge funds that's a nightmare buy, hold ramp and dump -- hedge funds ramped nickel approx 5 yrs ago when rusina was starting it took rmla up to 32p ( non consolidation shr pr) then dumped it rmla was within a couple of months7p

so those montoya guys have accumulated a lot more shares that we had expected - there's something up here and the fact that they are obviously an activist type hedgefund.

They'll be wanting to get a return here, and my sentiment is they'll get it by whatever means necessary.

richscotsman....maybe?....but don`t like your word "concert"....lol.

As this man....was appointed to the Metal Exploration board....also a company operating in the Philippines....following a "concert party" take out of that company....at a relatively low share price level.

Just a coincidence perhaps?

But it does make one wonder on a couple of counts....whether the same person or group that took out Metal Exploration....is or are....actually behind Montoya....(or even D&A Income)....and also why there seemingly doesn`t appear to be IMHO....any deliberate and conscious effort by the ENK management....(other than Director purchases)....to protect their own share price?

Just glad....at this moment in time....that there appears to be a HDI connection....(expected today`s RNS....to announce the appointment of their nominated director)....as this balance....between HDI and Montoya/D&A Income....could help to keep in check....any potential greater ENK ownership ambitions....that these particular parties might have.

AM I missing something I make it last RNS on holdings for Monoya was June 30th 2011 threshold crossed 9%.

Now we know they are still v.active with holdings of 18.24%

I take the RNS as good news.... very close to the 30% between them and they are acting in concert.

SP should be higher by COP. Off on holiday tonight for a week..... I hope I don't miss any action in my absence....

Announcement in Oz overnight.

There should be a RNS this morning....re: appointment of new non-executive director....nominated by major shareholders....Montoya Investments and D&A Income....who apparently hold....18.24% and 11.63% respectively.

Motives for the move?

More corporate oversight perhaps?

That would be very welcome....but is that the main reason behind the appointment?

He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Administration (Accounting).

HD must see something they like to stick with ENK after the imminent fiasco.
