Bo Kroll increased to 5.76% from 4.73% yesterday so maybe there is still hope!

Lol What's the difference between a postie doing "research" via internet and a 25 year plus industry professional free bb views?

About 2-3 years on getting their timings right I'd say lol!!

What's the difference between Jimmy Johnstone the Celtic winger of Lisbon Lions fame and an obtuse poster on here?

Jimmy was a great dribbler ....

Agree roger - but why after this result does it suddenly become more compelling?
If it was such a damned certainty (I remember getting quoted as posting drivel when I had the temerity to question the best researcher ADV has ever seen, about banged on certainty timings - what errrr - over a year ago?!)
Why has it not yet been farmed into - as everyone seems to suggest Iolar "has nothing to do with it" and why is it suddenly anymore likely to get farmed into "any day now"?
Straws clutching at …. comes to mind?

Not saying this is the case but really these assets have been completely mis-managed for a very long time now.
Best of luck all and as ever, imho and dyor!!

Thanks Jus, despite the result at Iolar I still think there is hope for gas within tie in distance of Corrib, it makes sense for all parties.

I can't.

Iolar - anyone know if they found lots of hot water to open up the Irish geothermal play? I can see the EU helping out there with their Future Fund one day.

There was a seismic survey done over the whole area (2015?)including 16/20 which I think EOG purchased and I think from memory CNOOC/NEXEN were working up. They are currently applying for a seabed survey which includes the corrib sub sea infrastructure and part of our licence area and was written by the same team that wrote our application using the same vessel and almost exactly the same wording....

Has anything happened in block 16/23 Corrib East which was 20% Faroe, 80% Nexen? DNO's website includes a report from Faroe dated early August which is 90 pages long but doesn't seem to say anything on this. Has there been any seismic done? If CNOOC have designs on near Corrib acreage then you would expect them to work up the block they already have.

Hugh knows all about it and was talking to CNOOC yesterday as he was in Dublin for an IOOA meeting ...

Remember what CNOOC said in the quote - looking to mature opportunities ....

I get the feeling that the large buyer has got lucky and is building a position now on a lower share price than he thought he would have to pay. Trades say it all. Guess he/she didn't anticipate the news to be made public in this way. There is after all no detail in the announcement/quote. Druid/Drombeg was dry but Exxon immediately afterwards exercised option to farm in.

Waiting game now I think - again

the large buyer should have waited a few days, hes either very unlucky, or knows something we don't!

Adna I assume u are referring to the mega fields in the 60s which were (commercially) discovered after about the 9th well I think with considerably less sophisticated seismic tech.?
That is not to say "mavericks" have not made incredible discoveries in the most unlikely of places, whilst "dreamers" have also wasted lots of money as well when a bit of (timely) diversification may have helped?
Best of luck all.

It's exploration, there were many many dry holes in the North Sea before they found oil. Price action of the last few days still suggests something is brewing.

No ones going to farm in with any drill commitment to be sure.

Well look on the bright side - that will be two site surveys we don't need and we were fully funded for them...
