how come lots of buys yesterday and today, yet price not moved up? |
A few reasonable buys today. Nothing major but better than a hit in the face with a wet fish. |

Nice start to the year for O&G prices, here’s hoping we land a farmout soon. HNY all :) |
1m BUY, any glimmer of progress on the JV's ? |
Trump says "drill baby drill - open up the North Sea and get rid of windmills"! Polar opposite to us. Part of me says if you can't beat them join them. If the USA and China appear not to give a toss about climate change our efforts are futile. Perhaps Milliband should take note. Suet |
Yes - perhaps decommissioning costs written back. Suet |
A cost that was showing on the balance sheet that no longer needs to be paid. |
perhaps the balance sheet carried future potential losses, or abandonment charges
"The carrying value of the Agreement is currently written down to nil in the Company's accounts. Upon termination of the Agreement, there are no remaining associated liabilities, since these have been written off by the parties to the Agreement. This has resulted in a £185,000 net gain to the Company's balance sheet." |
Not sure how we get a £185k gain when everything is written off? But it's better than a loss! Suet |
If I was supporting 6% of the high salaries and other expenses I would certainly want value for money. And Bo should be close enough now to ensure that actually happens. Come on - let's have some good news on EG. Suet |

" Bo Krøll currently holds 57,951,502 Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing 6.04% of the current issued share capital." |
Fantastic news. Shareholder value is now a top priority. |

Back costs for Ireland 2.8 million, from around 48.26 mins on the Q&A. |
I do wonder if they are trades from yesterday, which they may not have had. Now lowering the price to get the stock back? |
I wonder who is selling today. Suet |
And he predicted January as the planning approval. |
I was also delighted to hear the chief operating officer saying yesterday how well Wressle is currently doing. I think he said it had been consistently exceeding production estimates which is consistent with Union Jacks production data. Remember this could dramatically increase further with the planned expansion. |
Now that an equity raise is off the agenda I feel more relaxed here. Ok I'm not a fan of the high payroll costs but having to work with the capital you have should promote enhanced discipline. RBL (which I had to look up the meaning) was mentioned on lse which to me seems a sensible way forward. Suet |
in the presentation Will was saying if they get a JV, they would be looking for back costs.. did he say £3.5 mil? |
