Posted at 14/5/2002 07:48 by flesh ETE shares suspended as of 14/5/02for a short period pending an announcement Fleshg |
Posted at 10/5/2002 20:05 by jonak ho humbought some of these on a hunch several lost shirts later, I figured out that the hunch should have warned me that this company is a Quasimodo in waiting.... The telecomm lows can't last forever, but then nor can ETE with this much debt and uncontrolled costs in its core businesses.... jonak |
Posted at 04/5/2002 00:36 by chaneale Is this just reading between th elines or have you heard something?I woul dof though that with the other business making money and the le mans to start producing revenue for ETE then even if worst cases came a long they would have to shut down th UK distribution business Not everything? Lets see what happens! If this does go down the pan I will lose a packet! so Ive got my fingers crossed! |
Posted at 20/3/2002 14:21 by chaneale I have been a holder of ETE and I have averaged down a lot, I did even think about selling at one point! BUT DIDNT!I now think that they are well on the way to recovery! The only thorn at the moment is the UK distribution business! Le mans should show benefits in the results to come! there is a lot of speculation that it may be taken private or the banks will call it a day! I for one just reading the results do not think that is likely! if you see the last results they payed of 8m odd of the debt and rote off the hole of banner! which means it can not impact future results in this allready knocked share! any thoughts out there? |
Posted at 18/10/2001 18:11 by alexandrews Vatteton, when you say that they "already have sold all the best bits", do you mean that in the same way that Marconi have "sold all their worst bits"?Not quite sure why most here seem so negative about ETE - maybe they know a lot more about the company than I do (quite likely), but it does look to be about the best genuine recovery-play candidate in the market at the moment that I have found. Not one for widows and orphans, but then again, neither is the market on the whole currently. No investment advice intended. Alex |
Posted at 09/10/2001 15:01 by silverdays I heard from a friend within ETE (better than a source in sweden I reckon) that WH plans to buy back the company and take it private again. This issue has effectively been underwritten by WH so he will claim the shares that nobody wants (which will be a lot). He then owns most of the shares and buys the rest back at a small premium. So there you have it! |
Posted at 08/10/2001 21:26 by gopalla I have reason to believe that ETE are going to have some heavy buying in tomorrow. My sources in sweeden tell me to buy these to hold for 3 weeks. At the end of the 3 weeks there will be a big announcement and then sell ETE. |
Posted at 03/7/2001 00:23 by biomax i bought some today, this are due for a bounce this week, imo.Tech stokcs are bouncing of the lows, plus ETE bad results are out, the loan facility in place, so can't see a reason for them not to go to 20 p again |
Posted at 13/6/2001 00:43 by ikus ETE has still to publish their accounts - which I believe might be towards the end of this month. This will drive the price further down - but by not much as most of the bad news is already priced in. I would sit out till then. |
Posted at 08/6/2001 11:03 by charlesparker From the limited knowledge i have on this stock it does not seem to be just a "general state of market" situation. Since the trading statement in December 2000, it seems to have been hit exceptionally hard!Surely the acquisition trail in the last few years has left some value. Disposals and restructuring is what we need to hear. Has ETE cashflow problems? Over on the III board there are plenty of rantings about Warren Hardy and his Y-reg Bentley, otherwise nothing of substance. Can anyone confirm his 40% stake in ETE (from the Y/E accounts please!). |
