74p at current exchange rate in canada. as the gb£ gets weaker against the C$ and gold and copper rise these are going to go higher and higher.

i use stockhouse.com

epm is the ticker for eum over there.

this was posted yesterday
''EPM today (above $1.36) has broken above both the 50 & 200 day expodential moving averages as well as the 65 day simple m.a. and ADDITIONALLY seems to be breaking upward out of a Bollinger Band Squeeze formation. This combination of technical factors in addition to MACD and Stochastic studies suggests to me a possible explosive move at any time. Just my opinion FWIW. ''

this is very good news it looks to have broken out on the chart some catching up is due.

UKgeorge,

An interesting comparison, but the author of that post may not have been using the fully diluted no. shares. There are around 130m warrants outstanding so we should be using 440m for any per share numbers which adds about 50% more shares to the register and therefore dilutes all the numbers by a significant amount.

Also, buyers are probably cautious regarding the 50% of gold production which is hedged at $575 although, thankfully, the copper production is unhedged.

I don't know the details of AEM so it is difficult to know if they have specific reasons for their (seemingly) over-valuation, hence drawing like-for-like comparisons might appear over optimistic.

Having said all that, EUM do look under valued for a gold/copper producer. I expect the market will take a bit more notice when they have announced a bit more on their production and revenue status - so we probably have a couple of months to wait until initial numbers are available.

For the time being I will stick with my estimate of around 130p/share for 2008 which does not contain much in the way of 'rose-tinted' speculation!

But only my opinion of course and actuals could well be +/- to a significant extent.

taken of stockhouse forum.

Agnico-Eagle (AEM) just released their 2007 results and they had a cash flow of $229.2 million. This is the equivalent of USD $1.60 per share. Since AEM is trading for USD $66.77 this means they are trading at over 41X their cash flow.

At current metals prices EPM should have a cash flow of around $150 million between Spring 2008 and Spring 2009. This is around $0.49 per share. So, what value will EPM's cash flow be given compared to AEM?

The following chart shows where EPM's share price will be in a little over 1 year if it trades from 10% to 100% of AEM's cash flow per share multiple (I will assume USD $1 = CAD $1 to keep things simple):

10% = $2.01/share
20% = $4.02/share
30% = $6.03/share
40% = $8.04/share
50% = $10.05/share
60% = $12.06/share
70% = $14.07/share
80% = $16.08/share
90% = $18.09/share
100% = $20.10/share

As you can see, even if EPM trades at a whopping 50% discount to AEM's cash flow per share multiple, it would trade for over $10/share 1 year from now. Even at a 75% discount, which is ridiculous, EPM would be trading at over $5/share 1 year from now.

Considering EPM can be purchased today for around $1.30, its upside potential can only be described as outstanding. Even if EPM's share price goes up 10X over the next year, it will still be trading at a big discount when compared to AEM's cash flow multiples. And, there are many other gold producers that trade at large cash flow multiples, so once EPM starts proving-up big time cash flow numbers in their financial statements I expect people to notice.

Who dares, wins!

a whole week without a post. for the best gold/copper share on AIM.
well the Price of Gold if you didn't know is doing rather well $945 at present.
copper is also doing well 15 month copper is at $7600 a tonne and cash now is $8100 a tonne.

so thats all good.

most the juniors are still doing rubbish so atleast its not just these, the majors however are all doing well pog and yau. hoc is also imho a must have at these prices.

maybe next month will bring some good news either way im still sticking with these untill they are takenover in a few years time. (if all goes to plan)and will add when i can afford.

well spent a few minutes after a couple of G&T's looking at the charts for these.
5 months is how long it could take before these really do something. currently nearly touching the up trend that has been in place since september 06. my up trend is from the low point in mid sep 06 touches the share price in dec 08 and nearly now in feb 08. i would like a bounce now because i would like this uptrend to hold.
i also now have a down trend from the peak we had in mid late october 91p, then hitting at the peak that we had in mid january 81p.
where my down trend meets the uptrend is where i have got my 5 month target from. > making a shape like that. i'm not very good at posting pictures.
my ruf price of the current up trend is where we are (near enough)$1.25, my down trend is $1.6 they meet at rufly $1.38 in 5 months time.
idealy a reasonable bounce from here, up to the top of the cone then some good news and a breakout above $1.6. then when the first production results and ramping up starts to happen the share motors on.

i know i shouldnt get annoyed as i cant do anything the mkt is allways right (apparently) and allways decides.

strow i agree with you about general mkts and that it's frustrating and holding these back. doubt i've been trading any longer than you 5 years ish myself my main problem is of putting all my eggs in 1 basket. these. but have diversified a bit into other gold miners.

George-forget the share, its the markets mate-how long have you been in this game??probably 5 times as long as i have and should know better is my guess-you are clearly hurting at the moment, and yes its very frustrating, but i still dont think its going anywhere fast-when the markets begin to recover so will eum-this current price action has got to be expected imo

hoping the HUI (gold miners index) will move up next week and hopefully drag some juniors along for the ride. a 10-20p bounce im hoping for from these.
some good news would be welcome.

the web page above has a nice picture of the hui chart. and is a good resource for people who follow the price of gold.

yeah i read about it on there bit of scare mongoring going on. was relieved this morning to see that there hadnt been any panic selling on Aim, one of the benefits of being so under most peoples radar. Hmb seems to have given back a lot of its recent gains back to september prices.
the copper chart looks very good and with all the pm's performing so well the next rate cut may take copper above $4 a pound, and then even higher.
the profits are so close.

George,If you read the Canadian board where you also post you will see that they are having a little panic over there about the Kaz PM threatening to cancel oil and gas leases where companies breach terms of leases. This is aimed at big oil cos not EUM.It will die down in a few days.Stay patient we will get there eventually.

yeah i have been trying to stay patient and do hold shares in these (my biggest holding). i also agree with you that it will be when the profits start to come through that the share price will really be mooving. but i still do get annoyed that these arent trading at £1 area.
with both gold and copper price doing well the current share price is unfairly low imho. most the risk to do with bringing a mine into production is now in the past.

George-i think you are asking a lot of eum at the moment-i am expecting no significant upwards price movement until first years full profits have been logged-we are swimming against the general markets here, and it is not correct to say hmb are fairing any better-they all are having their up and down days-the current market conditions do not favour a quick buck-i currently hold no spread bets for that reason-im expecting the whole year to be awful and will be pleasantly suprised if it is not-good luck and be patient or buy the shares/warrants imo-they will come good in time, the copper will come on and they will make big profits

just sent them an email
when is the copper coming on line?
when are you going to get some media attention?
when are the assay results coming out, from drilling from
last year?
very nice pictures of some ice on the website but please
tell investors what is going on. eg are gold pours taking
place regularly.
Hambledon Mining, Centamin Egypt and many other juniors
share prices are doing a lot better than eum's and this
shouldnt be the case what are you going to do about it.
Best regards George long suffering investor.

doubt i will get a reply.

Cheers H,

You are very welcome.

I had rather looked forward to a weekend of good rugby but have been left a bit flat by England and Scotland's performance. Not to take anything away from the French (who were deadly) or Wales (who showed great perseverance). Just a bit fed up by dashed expectations :-((

Good luck with the market next week.

Evening chip,
many thanks for a prompt reply, and faster than I had a right to expect on Sunday evening! This has been on my close watch but I had not gotten round to making a 'decision ' on it. From your comments and also noting the current share price this may be a decent time to buy and I'll be giving it plenty consideration this week
Enjoy the rest of your evening
