12/10/2007 13:11 | johnny FYI: "on 3August 2007 Et-China.com International Holdings ("ET-China") went public on AIM and China IPO Group Limited converted the option awarded to holders of unsecured convertible loan notes in ET-China China IPO Group has converted its $200k loan notes into 153,639 ET-China shares, which at listing rice of 127p a share were worth £200k. On listing China IPO realized approximately £15k from sale of part of the shares at 127p a share." I don't expect BSP to sell any of their small holding any time soon I agree with you that any press mention of latest numbers &/or the China Unicom contract &/or growth potential will see these go much higher | explorer88
12/10/2007 12:29 | Thanks longshanks. I wouldn't expect 'rich individuals' to be rushing to sell at this level myself, and therefore imv liquidity could be a problem that holders may take advantage of. We'll see no doubt. Any mention in the press outlining the potential for growth will see this rocket imo. DYOR. | johnnyad
12/10/2007 11:34 | If you go to BSP, they are one of the parties involved in the pre-IPO fund raising, and amongst their RNS' are all the details of how much they paid for their shares. They spent £100K - took £15K profits on IPO and had about 150,000 shares - I did the calcs at the time and it came in around 70p/share. I don't know what the free float is. I wouldn't expect it to be high but as the pre-IPO holders (many of them rich individuals) take profits liquidity should improve. | longshanks
12/10/2007 10:46 | Could you provide some further background re buying in at 73p please longshanks. And if you have previous knowledge of thsi company, are my assumptions re free floating shares around 4m correct, thanks? | johnnyad
12/10/2007 09:21 | There are alot of shares bought by investors in the run up to launch of ETC that bought at the equivalent of 73p so I expect some continuing consolidation. Share is sound in medium/long term but that never...ever...dicta | longshanks
11/10/2007 22:24 | I like this company. Should be valued at £100m now (300p). | explorer88
11/10/2007 22:23 | China Unicom Selects Et-china to Provide Travel Services to High Spending Customers Et-china.com International Holdings Limited, the leading travel services group in the fast growing region of South China, has been exclusively selected by China Unicom's Jiangsu Province subsidiary to provide dedicated travel services to the mobile operator's high spending VIP customers with flight, hotel and frequent independent travel package services. China Unicom (HKSE:0762 www.chinaunicom.com) is China's second largest mobile phone operator providing services across China to 151.6 million mobile users. It is dual listed on the Hong Kong and New York Stock Exchanges. The Jiangsu Province, which is close to Shanghai, is one of the most prosperous provinces along the east coast of China with a population of about 75 million residents and a gross domestic product equivalent to RMB 2,154 billion ("141 billion*). Jiangsu China Unicom has approximately 6 million mobile users of which about 600,000 are classed as VIP customers. The typical monthly spend of a VIP customer is RMB1,000 ("65) per month. Et-china will become the exclusive and dedicated business travel provider to its VIP club via its 10191 service hotline from mid October. In addition to raising brand awareness for Et-china, the agreement will also result in these mobile users receiving targeted messages through their phones offering relevant and timely information about travel services. Et-china expects the hotline to generate at least 10,000 calls for its frequent independent traveler ("FIT") activities in the first month of operation. Et-China's Directors believe this arrangement could lead to similar agreements with other subsidiaries of China Unicom in more affluent coastal provinces. Matthew Ng, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented: "This is a further significant step and part of our on-going effort to secure marketing alliances with leading financial and telecommunications service providers in China in order to increase our service reach in a targeted and cost efficient manner. We also believe this alliance will prove to be a highly effective way of accessing the FIT market, the fastest growing segment of the Chinese travel market. "We have been chosen by China Unicom because we have demonstrated outstanding customer service capabilities in our 24x7 call centre as well as our extensive and dominant product offerings across South China, which is a frequent destination for the mobile operator's business and leisure VIP customers." | explorer88
11/10/2007 11:58 | I make it about 4.5m shares in free float. I imagine a good percentage is already held by pi's. Therefore there can't be that many in circulation for mm's. You can guess the rest! A good entry into the chinese market, based on consumer and business spending, which I would expect to continue growing at a good rate. AIMHO, DYOR. | johnnyad
11/10/2007 10:29 | Hi Steg. Did the same but bought in when I got a note in Sept from cboxall@fundamentala | gelp
11/10/2007 09:02 | The potential for growth, just in china, for this company is amazing. More of these alliances and the turnover will be pleasant viewing and when more of china utilises the internet itc will be able to cut staff costs. Although staff costs can't be too excessive in china, can they? Let's hope they achieve the growth we would like, in sp, before the planet suffers irrevocably from all the fumes! | johnnyad
11/10/2007 08:11 | Been watching since float - watched up go down, watched em go back up... Decided to buy in today on the continuing good news and prospects - if id actually been paying attention and on the ball i would of bought after reading the results - hindsight is a wonderful thing | stegrego
10/10/2007 17:01 | Hi TOPINFO -= we're missing your contributions over at NRK. Where have you and your pals gone? | scribbler101
10/10/2007 15:38 | It appears our 50k dealyed buy, imo reported as a sell, is putting off the steady stream of smaller buys.....for now. Still can't complain with 20+% daily gains. | johnnyad
10/10/2007 13:13 | I agree explorer. Floated at 127p, I think, and now has proven business model..well at least first quarter.. and plenty of room to grow. I do hold, and will for some time. Just wish I'd got more yesterday. | johnnyad
10/10/2007 12:47 | johnny - imo, it's certainly not too late to invest to benefit from the current share price re-rating, which i reckon will take the share price up to around 300p (with a few mischievous mm treeshakes along the way!). Looking longer term, ETC has the potential to be a $bn company. | explorer88
10/10/2007 12:29 | Seems to be no stopping this blyter! Obviously, I wish I'd bought more now! | johnnyad
10/10/2007 11:58 | 4500 buy at 120p i anticipate that ETC will rise to around 300p based on fundamentals | explorer88
10/10/2007 10:35 | hi windjammer - welcome on board for the ride. should be fun!:-) You're right, no online dealing. All trades going over the 'phone. | explorer88 |
