the trend is your friend. IF it has changed, then it could be a very profitable trade.

Any decision on dividends will be taken by the board and will take into account profitability, underlying growth, capital requirements and cash flow. Essar Energy is primarily a growth company at present - the focus of our strategy is to reinvest available cash flow into our major portfolio of growth opportunities. As a result, Essar Energy does not pay a dividend at this time.

Tam - Thanks for the input, am new to anything FTSE relates. Have invested/traded in AIM Natural resources and Tech sectors for 10+ years. You advice/help in this area would be very much appreciated. What are growth stock and what do you hope to achieve as a long term investor?

Dr_EX, I was planning to do the same...on the notion of it breaking 105, it was looking at a reversal, I however, opted out! DAMNIT!

Looking to add this to my PF here but on fair value between 95-110 MAX - £20-30K chunk...with the issues in India and Globally, I dont see a multi-fold return here for a long while. What is the current return on dividend of ESSR?

I've been cutting a very large position in recent days. Although the long term story is a good one, the balance sheet is very weak.

Definitely one to watch.Long term this could be a decent play on India's rising living standards/large population and subsequent surging demands for electricity.

Think I might wait till the outstanding "back tax" issue has been settled.
