Why did the companies own broker downgrade the stock from 48p to 20p?

People who are close to the story and understand what's happening with HomeSend are either holding or buying. We await news flow from HomeSend.

Thanks for your comment and info. Helpful news today that Hendersons Global Investors have added 2655000 shares to their holding ,making their holding about 15% of total company.

Selling has been from institution with changed mandate on fund I am told for what it is worth.

Also there must have been a good amount of tax loss selling for fiscal year end. The market seems to have absorbed about 2000000 shares today without further share price decline.But sad tale so far despite bright prospects.

This is really a poorly communicated story, but look at the facts.

There will be no capital raise because the company has e3.5m coming from MasterCard (escrowed) - see p15 of the annual report. This was poorly communicated.

The core business will grow 10%+ in AUD terms due to recharges/zain roll outs with Iraq etc now live. There will be a currency effect which could mean that there is little GBP growth, but there is underlying growth.

I suspect the communication is poor around HomeSend because they are close to closing something. We know that MasterCard are finally closing things:

So potentially they are close with an iMTO or MTO (Western Union?!).

Looks like they are to come back to shareholders for another A$3.5 to make further investment. Even more shares to be issued I suppose.

I'm annoyed that he organised the funding round then jumped but it might be a sign that his new employer sees ESG as a threat.

Keep eyes open on where he is going to.

He hasn't been fired.

serious intention to go 'live proper' over even wider area next year and there should be a snowball effect. Positive for Africa and a major move forward for all concerned. ESG in the right place at the right time.

I would say momentum to build quickly thereafter.
Been 2 yrs in the making and central banks of East Africa ok'ed.

Excellent growth potential. Looks like ESG may have broken downtrend too.

Fingers crossed. May explain webcast on the cards.
