Bigdazzler judging from you posts I think your angry frothing at the mouth even? You've already lost sucker simply because no one reads your posts on AFR. and because you're very sensitive to being found out and outed as a vile individual spoiler of genuine bulletin boards like mine. I've been posting there over 5 years and have a modicum of credibility other wise my 1000's of posts would be riddled with inconsistancies over the years, they are not. Unlike you I am a long term investor there and want the best for the vast majority of shareholders in AFREN.

During the course of 5.5yrs its only natural one would fall out with fellow posters. To my knowledge I'm filtered by one poster there where as you're filtered by 99% and many, many on other boards because basically you are a vile individual devoid of feeling towards others as displayed in your savage deramping or ramping of a share. To assist in this you employ the services of an equally vile alter ego known as hvs.

I will carry on spreading the word regarding your practices partly becaused it really bothers you as is evident in your ramblings. Keep it coming loser as at least I will read your posts.

Whoof whoof.

Oh dear boxerdog is a stalker who is upset that a few weeks/ months ago I predicted a price fall in afren which he disagreed with.

Time proved myself to be correct and since then he has printed a barrage of lies about myself. Note I use the strong word lies which it is.

Check our history and you will find out for yourself I reprint most of his posts on the afren board in regard of the lies he prints about me on other boards for all to see.

This was all because I dare have an opposing view to him.

And for the record I am not HVS and have no connection with him and of the 4 shares he mentions above I have no position in 3 of them and never have.

He really is a naughty dogboy!!!!

Be aware of the danger Davedazzler AKA. hvs poses. He also refers to himself as " THE SUPREME CHARTIST " on occasion.

He is renowned for his infestation of good honest boards spreading vile rumours and lies to try and destable the board and influence investors. Check out NARS for example he's at it there. Although devious he his NOT successful in general. Below are his current interests besides here.

CAR buy
QPP buy
LEK buy
PRG buy

A glimpse at those companies will reveal he is failing. Do youself a favour and filter him as 99% do but then beware as hvs will appear to carry on in his vile trade.

OK - I kind of understand why different brokers might be at different stages of the process and so some may be able to deal whilst others can't - but aren't you both with the same broker (TD)? Why can they let one client sell but not the other? That doesn't make any sense.

Cheers again aimingupward.

My main frustration which I intend to take up with them is the fact that surely Td should have been much more proactive in managing the conversion from UK to US trading and not wait until the market maker 'shut down' UK trading on 14/10.

I simply don't accept this takes 12+ months to complete. I have no knowledge in this area but it does not seem reasonable or proportional to not be able to trade these shares over this period of time.

I mean I can complete all necessary legal work to buy and sell houses with a mortgage in the matter of a few weeks that are worth hundreds of thousands of pounds. But I hit a brick wall trying to trade a share worth a few thousand. Does not sit right with me or seem correct.

Bigdazzler - I've just spoken to TD and they tell me that a 2% variation is added to the then current exchange rate when shares are sold on an overseas exchange, so that accounts for my lower net receipt. Crafty way of earning themselves some extra 'commission'. However, as I was not pre-warned, they'll look into it and may compensate me this time.

The exchange rate applied was also not shown on my contract note, which they concede it should have been.

I see that the sp, as I write, is up on the day, even after a surge of over 6% yesterday. So maybe you'll not lose out while you're being sorted out - I hope so anyway.

The contract note for the sale I did through TD yesterday evening has come through on my computer. The shares were all originally bought in the UK, all prior Feb' 2013, through NatWest stockbrokers and they must have ensured that whatever was necessary to effect the transfer to enable subsequent U.S. trading was done before I was transferred over to TD.

The only outstanding snag is that the net proceeds of yesterday's sale have ended up about £35 less than I was told over the phone when I sold, even though the sale price was as quoted and as I accepted. The charges were £12 as per on-line trading, as I had been told, so it looks like a poorer exchange rate has been applied. I'll enquirer to find out what happened.

I don't understand the terms 'U.S. line' and U.K. line' which you refer to.

I hope you get sorted out soon and wish you well. I can easily imagine your frustration in the meantime.

I am emailing in regards to your query about the Eros International shares yesterday.

To confirm the situation, in order to sell the Eros shares for you we will need to convert the stock to the US line as we are unable to sell the UK line.

While I can not confirm the exact date that the shares will be transferred for you, the transfer process is now with in the last 8 weeks to be completed. I know this sounds like a long time but transfers of over seas shares do take a long time to complete because of the number of third parties involved in these.

We would have started the process sooner however we were able to trade in the stock up until the 14th of October through the UK line. After that date the market maker than we went through for these trades stopped being able to accept trades in the stock and as a result we have no way of selling them, so the transfer process to convert the remaining holdings to the US line only began last month.

If there are any delays or any further updates about this for you then I will let you know as soon as possible. Once the stock is updated to the correct line then you will see this on your portfolio page under the US line of stock.

Yours sincerely,

Customer Services

This is a reply from Td direct. I'm concerned why some people stated they can sell through td and Td are telling me they can't sell my stock.

The people that were able to sell through Td can I confirm whether the stock you were selling was originally the UK stock or was stock they bought on the US markets which is clearly a different thing all together.

No two ways about it I am massively frustrated by this situation as this has now been a US stock for around 12 months.

The only thing I've taken out is the identities of the persons involved in the original email.

Thanks for all your replies. I don't think that spread bet companies count as, if I understand things correctly, you are not buying or selling the underlying share but betting against someone else on the movement of the share.

Anyway, the Barclays saga goes on - thankfully the share keeps going up. Problem for me is that this holding is now way over what I usually allow as a percentage of my portfolio so would really like to top slice.

Please do post if anyone does successfully sell any EROS shares or are told by their stockbrokers that they can sell if they want to shares that they held prior to NY transfer so that I can keep on pushing Barclays.

Fantastic close last night - great to breach the $20 mark.

Very interesting post-results conference call transcript here:

The portents for the rest of this year to 31st March look terrific, with a heavy slate of major releases. The prospects for digital re HBO, EROSNow etc look a little further off - next year/the year after - so it's a balance between recognising the massive global potential against the need to be patient whilst the numbers are built and the deals finalised.

bigdazzler - I've just done as you suggested and sold about 5% of my holding as a trial, but I wasn't able to sell on-line as I expected. My holding was shown as nil in spite of EROS being included in my portfolio with them. I then phoned their customer help line and was told that as I wasn't yet set up for international trading on line, I'd have to sell over the phone but that it would be done at the internet charge rate. They checked first that I had already signed and returned an authorising W-8BEN form (which I had with my previous broker Natwest) and then the sale was rapidly put through.

I presume that in future I will be able to trade EROS on line though I'm not likely to be selling more any time soon, unless the price gets 'beyond itself' too rapidly as I think this is a sound long term hold.

I wish you luck and hope you get sorted out soon.

TDW

Mine were in an ISA when I held them in the UK, they were transferred over and still in my ISA when the stock moved to the USA.

I completed my forms well before then, from memory I think it can all be done online.

TDW are often criticised but I consider their international service is brilliant, I do all of my Canadian trading with them,. EROS is the only USA stock I hold.

At the moment I can sell at $20.06 and buy at $20.10

Markhowes - sorry you've had problems. I'm with TD Direct and can deal on-line apparently painlessly. A consolation for you, at least, is that the share price is still on a rising trend.

Aimingupward may I suggest you test the water with TD Direct and enquire about selling as I fear you may get a different response.

I have tried to sell tonight to be met with the basic response the shares were still held in a uk account and needed to be moved to an international account which can take some weeks. I asked why this wasnt actioned quicker as the American ipo was 12 months ago. It was left with TD direct stating they would investigate and get back to me tomorrow as it would need to be completed during uk office hours.

If any had a different response I'm all ears and before anyone asks TD direct have all the correct signed forms for me to trade US stocks.
