jbarcroftr: Fair summary. If the price falls I will be tempted to buy more and average down. They will need strong financial management going forward and it will take a year or two to get the business firing on all cylinders but the dividend should support the share price
imranawan: Thanks paduardo. Although I noticed there was share price weakness at EPWN today as well - could be possibly due to the autumn statement. In the trading update ENTU issued in September they said they expected to report Operating profits of £8m - which I reckon equates to EPS of 9p and would cover the proposed dividend. I guess the market has its doubts and we'll need to wait till they issue a trading update. I agree with you that its not the most confident hold, especially due to the share price being leaky prior to the issue of results or trading updates in the past.
sew55select: Some reduction in the share price may be due to the company announcement on Friday 4:10pm that the Non exec director, David Grundy has left. Message reads: Directorate Change Entu (UK) plc '(Entu'), the home improvement Group providing energy efficiency products and services to homeowners in the UK, announces that David Grundy, having served as a Non-Executive Director since the IPO, is to step down from the Board with immediate effect. The Board wishes to thank him sincerely for his contribution during that time and wishes him all success with his other business interests. The Company is commencing its search for a replacement non-executive director with immediate effect. David Forbes will chair the audit committee pending this appointment.
nehpets81: Clearly the results were released when they were because they had already been leaked in some quarters. I am sure this happens a lot but it has to be one of the most blatant instances of leaked results I can remember seeing. Going forward, I can imagine the market will be very jittery about big, apparently random, falls in the share price in future
sebjsheffield: I'm pretty happy sitting still on this one - if it turns out to be a pre-release market move due to an acquisition or a tree shake prior to H1 either of those I don't mind and in the long run will result in the share price returning to it's previous level of support around the 130p mark and then hopefully above. For the last half week since the dip begun I can't see any justification for why to jump ship and get out so won't be due to murmured speculation of bad results.
lord gnome: Fleagle -I've seen it so many times before when a share price dives for no apparent reason and then the news of the fundraising comes out in an RNS. Existing institutional holders will have been invited to participate and if they know they can buy new shares for 115p or whatever and the current market price is 130p, they will sell down their existing holding. It is a form of short selling. I am not saying that this is the answer here, but it is not uncommon. Somebody will always find out and insider knowledge is difficult to prove.
fleagle_uk: To those that think an acquisition maybe about to take place how can the market know in advance i.e. how can the share price drop ? Surely we are all supposed to find out at the same time...not pre prepare the share price for that placing to fund an acquisition ? - that would be insider knowledge surely ?
xenawarriorprincess: As recently as 2nd June the shareholders gave the company authority to increase the number of shares in issue by up to 76% (circa £60M), in respect of issuing shares by way of funding an acquisition and for raising cash. Bearing in mind the recent director changes, and the low p/e the share price reduction has all the signs that an offer is about to be made for a company, which values our shares at around 115p to 120p. Once any acquisition has been made no doubt the market will reappraise the value of ENTU.
relliott10: An article in the FT yesterday suggested that the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund (GDHIF) would be phased out by 2017. The fund is due to release £220 million this year and £150 million in 2016. Vouchers are provided for energy efficient home improvements such as double glazing, insulation etc...I imagine that this is the reason for the recent share price fall.
cfro: The election outcome has been a great result for the housing market, so suppliers like ENTU will benefit in the medium term. These might lag a bit share price wise, but they should start moving sooner or later.
