("Ennstone" or the "Company")
New Consented Reserves in the US
Ennstone is today pleased to announce that planning consent has been granted for
the extraction and processing of 8 million tons of high quality sand and gravel
reserves from its site in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. There is also potential
to secure further proven reserves in adjoining land, which is already under the
Company's control.
Vaughan McLeod, Chairman of Ennstone, commented:
"This is a first class permission to have won. This virgin site will not only
give us real value today, but a great base for further growth of our US
Aggregates business. We now have nearly thirty million tons of permitted
reserves in three quarries in Northern Virginia. "
