EnergyPathways Joins Hydrogen UK

EnergyPathways plc (AIM: EPP), an energy transition company developing low carbon integrated energy solutions in the UK, is pleased to announce that it has joined Hydrogen UK ("HUK"), the UK's leading trade association supporting organisations to develop, scale up and deploy hydrogen solutions.

About HUK

Hydrogen UK is the leading trade association for the hydrogen sector in the United Kingdom, committed to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy through the development and adoption of hydrogen technologies. Representing a diverse membership that includes innovators, producers, and end-users, HUK serves as a collaborative platform to advocate for UK government policy advancement, industry standards, and investment in hydrogen infrastructure. By fostering partnerships and championing the potential of hydrogen, HUK is key in driving the UK's ambition to achieve net-zero emissions and a sustainable energy future.

As a member of HUK, EnergyPathways will have access to key stakeholders, including government and local authorities. EnergyPathways plans to make a leading contribution in HUK in helping develop regulatory frameworks and policies that will promote investment and growth in the UK hydrogen economy. Membership includes tier-one companies from across the entire hydrogen value chain such as BP, Cadent, Centrica, EDF, Equinor, ExxonMobil, National Gas, Orsted, Shell and SSE.

Ben Clube, CEO of EnergyPathways plc said:

"As part of Hydrogen UK, EnergyPathways will be joining a network of tier-one companies committed to working with the government to drive the development and deployment of a hydrogen economy in the UK. This membership positions EnergyPathways at the centre of hydrogen policy and regulatory framework development that will provide unparalleled opportunities to scale and harness value from the emerging UK hydrogen economy.

"A core focus of HUK in 2025 will be hydrogen storage and HUK offers EnergyPathways a unique opportunity to inform leading stakeholders of the large-scale storage potential of the MESH project. Together with other members, EnergyPathways aims to develop an investment environment that will generate the financial returns needed to attract the necessary capital to sufficiently scale up hydrogen solutions, including storage.

"Through its participation in HUK, EnergyPathways will seek to play a key role in advancing the UK's transition to a low-carbon economy and achieving its net-zero ambitions."
