27/4/2018 18:10 | Regulated tariffs for natural gas, applied by Engie to several million customers in France, will increase by 0.4% on May 1, reflecting the increase in wholesale prices, announced Friday the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE ). "This increase is 0.1% for those who use gas for cooking, 0.2% for those who have dual use cooking and hot water and 0.4% for homes that heat gas" says the regulator in a statement. Gas prices on the wholesale market are indeed up slightly for the month of May, explains the CRE. Since January 1, 2015, regulated gas sales tariffs have fallen by an average of 14.4%. Since the opening of the energy market to competition, the 10.6 million French consumers subscribing to gas have the choice between the regulated tariffs of the old monopoly and the market prices, proposed both by Engie and by his competitors. But the government is considering a gradual end to these regulated gas tariffs, with their extinction by 2023 for individuals, in order to comply with European law. This measure could be included in the government's Business Growth Pact Bill. 26/4/2018 16:23 | Engie: develops its 'My Power' offer in France Cercle Finance26 / 04/2018 at 15:34 (CercleFinance.com) - Engie is developing its self-consumption offer for individuals. With the offer 'My Power', the French can now store on battery power generated by photovoltaic panels installed on their roof. 2 out of 3 are now in favor of installing solar panels on the roof of their homes. 88% of them would like to use this electricity for their own needs, 'says the group. To meet these expectations, Engie now enriches its range of self-consumption offers 'My Power', launched in 2017 for the 4.4 million owners of single-family homes in France. In France, Engie has a total of 4 million personal and professional electricity customers and is growing its portfolio by around 20% a year. | maywillow
26/4/2018 11:49 | Engie watched the Direct Energie file Jean-Baptiste André, published on the 26/04/2018 at 11h58 Engie watched the Direct Energie file (Boursier.com) - Engie looked at the Direct Energie file but did not follow through. At a press conference, Isabelle Kocher said: "We knew they were going to sell at some point ... but we did not need to buy a ticket to the French market. electricity, we are already there. " Total announced last week the acquisition of the electricity distributor as part of an agreement that will make EDF a major challenger. "No intention to split the group" Engie's managing director emphasized that she did not intend to split the group, as was the case in Germany with E.ON, RWE and Innogy. This announcement was a surprise for the industry, which will closely follow the German experience, said the leader. It stated that the restructuring represented a bet that a utility group could be a better electricity generator without a customer portfolio, and a better grid operator without having privileged access to the electricity generating assets. "We have not made this bet, on the contrary, we are a group that presents itself to its customers as an architect capable of doing everything". "We do not feel the market pressure for an operation like this" Also questioned about a possible spin-off of certain activities in order to increase the value of the Engie share, I.Kocher said it was not something the market was asking for. "We do not feel the pressure of the market for such an operation." "We are one of the best-valued companies in the industry ... There was a time when we suffered a haircut, but that's no longer the case." | maywillow
