Up 2.3% to 83.80 euros, GTT signs one of the largest increases in the SBF 120 to show a gain of 25% since the beginning of the year. The French naval engineering company has confirmed the winning of a new contract in China. In addition, Portzamparc raised its recommendation on the title of Keep to Buy and revised upwards its target price from 89.2 to 94.9 euros, according to a market source.

GTT has received an order from the Chinese shipyard Hudong-Zhonghua for the design of tanks for an LNG bunkering vessel on behalf of Japanese shipowner Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd. (MOL).

Appreciating 'an ever dynamic newsflow', including a new order for fuel LNG, the analyst Oddo BHF confirms this Tuesday its recommendation 'purchase' on the title GTT.

'The valuation remains attractive on the basis of 11x in EV / EBITDA and VE / EBIT 2020 with a strong growth profile (+ 48% for EBITDA) and increased revision margins for 2021 and 2022', notes Oddo BHF .

The analyst thus confirms its target price of 102 euros. This shows an upside potential of + 25%.

Engie intact. Engie will not be dismantled, said its president Jean-Pierre Clamadieu in Les Echos, while not mentioning the fate of Isabelle Kocher, despite the indication that the board has supported the strategy presented in early 2019. "The speculation that I could read on the evolution of the perimeter of the group are baseless, "he said in particular. Some employee representatives were swayed by a possible sale of gas assets to please the financial market.

Engie to develop 185-MW solar project in Mexico
Atlas Renewable Energy Guajiro PV plant in Mexico

December 11 (Renewables Now) - France’s Engie SA (EPA:ENGI) has signed an agreement to develop a 185-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) park in Mexico's Hidalgo state, the local government announced on Tuesday.

According to a series of tweets made by governor Omar Fayad, the PV project is named Nueva Xcala and will be located in an area of 352 hectares (869.8 acres). The solar park should be able to generate enough power to meet the demand of 260,000 homes and offset the equivalent to 300,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. This is the second large-scale PV project in the state, the governor said.

The plant is seen to become operational in the first months of 2021, at which point Hidalgo's installed solar capacity will exceed 300 MW. About 900 jobs will be created during the project's construction and operational phases.

In addition to Nueva Xcala, Engie will also invest in a 1,200-km natural gas distribution pipeline. Recently, the French group announced another move in Latin America -- it will replace 334 MW of coal capacity with renewables in Chile.

The University of Iowa has awarded a 50-year concession to Engie North America Inc. and Meridiam that will see the companies assist the university in meeting water, energy and sustainability goals.

The work will focus on two campuses in Iowa City, Iowa, that span over 1,700 acres, the companies said.

The companies said they "will be 50/50 partners in an organization that is locally resourced and will concretely contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and allow the University to meet its energy transition objectives."

Under the terms of the deal, which is valued at over $1 billion, Engie will work to improve and maintain the campuses' heating, cooling and electricity systems, as well as water and sewer services. The companies will help the university reach its goal of coal-free energy production on campus by 2025, they said.

Meridiam, an independent investment firm founded in 2005, said it specializes in developing, financing and managing long-term and sustainable public infrastructure projects.

Engie North America said it offers a range of services in the U.S. and Canada to help customers decarbonize, decentralize, and digitalize their operations. France's Engie SA is the parent company of Engie North America.

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones) - The state, a shareholder in Engie up to 24%, should not ask for the departure of Isabelle Kocher, general manager of the gas and electricity supplier, before the end of his mandate next May, reports Monday the newspaper Les Echos.

"It's a matter of speeding up the implementation of Engie's strategy that is not producing enough tangible results at the moment." There is no question of dismissing the Director General before the end of her term as if we had something serious to blame him, "said a source quoted by Les Echos.

The term of Isabelle Kocher, who has been in office since May 2016, will expire at the end of Engie's next general meeting in May 2020.

According to Les Echos, the non-renewal of Isabelle Kocher would not be recorded at the next board of directors of the group, scheduled for December 17, but would be included in the resolutions of the general meeting which will be communicated to shareholders in February.

The state, which does not wish to see the departure of Isabelle Kocher interpreted as a green light to the dismantling of Engie, could accelerate the calendar "if the atmosphere becomes impossible to control" at the headquarters of the company to the Defense, specifies the daily.

Contacted by the agency Agefi-Dow Jones, a spokesman for Engie declined to comment on this information. The State Participation Agency (APE) was not available immediately.

In an interview with the newspaper Le Figaro last week, Isabelle Kocher had defended her balance sheet and had strongly opposed the sale of gas infrastructure energy group, desired by a part of the board of Engie.
