I would have been happy with a share price of 3.75p 2 weeks ago... buy a ticket now for another ride?? Let's do it!

That's interesting 2seabass and I suspect others followed suit. I could see the possible upside from the Georgian assets but I could also see how progress there could have been fraught with difficulty and been a drain on management resources. Hence I see the deal as a very good outcome for shareholders. Each to their own I guess...

I sold out first thing for 4.27. Considered Georgian assets were the speculative value.

Yes I sense even the MM's were surprised by the selling! Marked it up on the announcement in anticipation.

csjcsl2,

Problem with your expectation is it will likely run way ahead of current price in the run up to results. The economic backdrop is doing wonders for gold and amongst the small mining space - smallcap Ozzie explorers with quality projects are hot property right now. For this to double ahead of results would not be outrageous at all.

Agree cashandcard, this price does not factor in good drill results. It might not happen but expect the MC much higher before the bell if they're good. We'll see

agree cash..but if your a new buyer on the morning of the results..your still going to make good money..and your not going to be down 50% on the open

csjcsl,

Historically, this area had high-grade goldmining. If those results reflect that - they won't be able to buy in as cheap as now. There is a long way to climb - a very long way if they can replicate those bonanza grades from the old miners.

They haven't gone. They're still in their eee roles. And we are now holders in candelaria. So in joining that board too , will make sure our investment there flourishes too.

No Director is leaving. Mike Struthers is totally committed to the Eclipse deal and they have now got a partner to develop the project if drilling is as good as hoped.

Likely salary cash saving to Empire.

I think there is some short term disappointment from those who felt that Georgian assets were worth more.

Overall this is a good deal for Empire going forward.

I just have to ask myself. Why would the largest shareholders vote for this sale if it was a bad idea...mmmm?Oh, I get it! To make money! So the share price will probably be going up once the weak have left?? Boy that was difficult to understand...

That's because the market doesn't like it when senior members of staff go off to other companies.
