19/9/2015 10:55 | "On operating costs Lavandeiro says ‘we could survive with a copper price of $1.90c a lb, we are OK with a price of $2.40c a lb. and at $4 a lb, we would be printing money.’ He adds ‘we have offtake deals for 100% of production’ and suggests Rio Tinto’s open-pit resources could be expanded by 20% before moving underground. If copper rallies, so should the EMED/Atalaya share price. " | waterloo01

18/9/2015 21:19 | Yeah, I don't go for these predictions. I remember, that with the onset of FED QE, the US$ was going to tank and gold was going to fly. | rich1e
18/9/2015 20:45 | The market was going to punish commodities if the FED decided to raise the interest rate. The FED decide to keep the rate as is and commodities are hammered anyway. Damned if you do damned if you don't. We really are swimming against the tide at present. Have a good weekend all. | iankn73
18/9/2015 19:54 | Can't find the Spanish rugby channel but there are some men in sequins killing bulls. That should work. | langostino
18/9/2015 19:41 | Chill out and relax Lango, watch the rugby and grab a beer. CEB nudge nudge wink wink | wanderer1210_0
18/9/2015 19:30 | The current shareholder base is pathetic. Some have been hanging around for seven or eight years, buying more shares and backing the company through thick and thin. Emed needs a better class of shareholder. There should be a test to see if our knowledge and ambitions are suitable for this investment. In what universe does the idiot ramper live??????? edit - I use the term idiot ramper advisedly because your ordinary ramper seldom encourages shareholders to move on, but such is the stupidity of sr/lp that normal protocols do not apply. | langostino
18/9/2015 17:13 | poleaxe Alberto made it quite clear that there will be no requirement for further dilution. The rest of the restart including phase 2 can be funded from revenue from the Copper they are producing today and will continue to produce in the ramp up to 7.5 mtpa throughput. Now Emed are a producer of Copper in concentrate they will have easy access to debt funding. The point of the promotion to the city is to increase the share price. Lets face it some small private holders sell every time the share price fractionally increases. There are buyers at 3.75p and below but at 4p plus there is very little interest. They are not going to fix that any time soon with the current shareholder base. They are seeking a more knowledgeable and ambitious shareholder register. Horizons here are way too low. | lucky punter
18/9/2015 16:19 | poleaxe, I thought that might be your reply. However do you know for sure that our current II's are no longer interested in any new shares that you are suggesting will be issued. My personal view is that perhaps the II's will not like further dilution on top of the most recent dilution. We could end up going down the road you suggest with a pie with so many slim slices. In true terms each slice might only be worth 2p a go. Now if they were offering shares in a new venture that might well work but in PRT I think it will be years before any PI makes a 5 bagger out of this event | acamas
18/9/2015 15:56 | Acamas - if you are talking to new investers there is only one reason that is to raise money, i rest my case, not to invite them to buy shares on the open market as LP suggests. | poleaxe
18/9/2015 15:32 | waterloo what makes you say that. Promotion is not an instant reward deal. There have been some larger trades than we are used to. I think their aim is quite true but it does not deliver straight away it is something of an investment and the process has only just started; what is the hurry. I doubt they will really make much ground until this penny share grows up and changes the way it looks. Right now small investors control the share price and that has to change. A couple of thousand pounds determine the value of over 100 million pounds. | lucky punter
18/9/2015 15:06 | Lp, in which case their 'aim' isn't very good. | waterloo01
18/9/2015 15:04 | The concentrate produced today is of a quality good enough for sale, that is why they are trucking and selling the concentrate. They are still telling the market that full phase one capacity will be January but that will be beaten by several months. The process is running 24/7 now. They will disclose full commercial production once ramp up is complete. Emed's action on the PR front are aimed very firmly at institutions and HNWi. | lucky punter
18/9/2015 14:09 | You forget, Lango, they had the all singing and dancing ceremony, with great excitement and more officials than you could shake a stick at, back at that historic moment, the first blasting. Not even an RNS for us, let alone an invite. Then there was the first concentrate production, just a couple of days after all those who attended the AGM, made the effort to travel to Spain. Looking at the recent Edison, decent turnover is predicted for 2015: we have no reason to believe that concentrate is not being produced now, albeit not as good a concentrate as we hope to produce. Probably, some stage in the near future,it will be cranked up to full capacity, but each obvious opportunity is studiously avoided. So, the new name is to be the big event? Soooo disappointing. C | charlieeee
18/9/2015 09:55 | I hope Emed have something like the Wolf Minerals official opening event up their sleeve to launch Atalaya Mining. If you look through Wolf reports and presentations you can see how good PR can really be done, not that it has done much for the share price of late. edit - our old friend Resource Capital is the major shareholder | langostino
18/9/2015 09:14 | we would need to settle with Astor I don't see how he can justify that. Either we owe them money or we don't. Presumably when the agreement was made everyone was aware that we might fund the mine without senior debt - presumably there was a reason for that wording being chosen. I wouldn't object to seeing an explanation of this point. | zangdook
18/9/2015 07:58 | Lots of derampers making up stories now - feeling confident! | shortarm
18/9/2015 07:33 | The agreement was to settle over 7 years from starting commercial production.... When the 'senior debt' trigger issue is resolved... | laurence llewelyn binliner
18/9/2015 07:12 | Sunar - AL said his opinion was that we would need to settle with Astor but very much viewed as a longer term problem. By that stage we should be at @ 9 Mtpa+ and generating lots of cash, assuming Cu price plays ball. | thebrewster
18/9/2015 06:42 | Sunar Although I agree that Astor will be compensated, there is still no agreement on how or if this will happen. So IMO saying they will be paid out via dilution is presumptuous. | wanderer1210_0
18/9/2015 06:32 | The Brewster - there will be equity dilution to fund Astor liability regardless of Phase 2 or 3 or 4... | sunar
17/9/2015 20:34 | Don't be like that CuFe, Plucky Funter had put all of his pocket money into this and now he is desperate to get his money back! This can make one jolly baity! | frogkid
17/9/2015 20:30 | Just for the record, Alberto stated there would be no equity dilution to fund Phase 2 activity. I asked him that specific question. | thebrewster
17/9/2015 19:45 | Don't believe a word the username lucky punter posts IMHO . . . he has already admitted to trading EMED shares earlier this year and no doubt will be trading them when it suits him again too IMHO . . . | cufes2 |
