You may see a holding statement, you may not. 985k is not a declarable interest on its own. Could be Wray increasing his stake again.

Could someone please explain the attraction of this stock? I've scanned through this thread and not really come across anything about what the company actually does or discussion of the fundamentals. For instance, I don't see any mention of the balance sheet which, at first glance, looks a bit scary to me.

Is there anybody out there ? !!! Thats half a million shares bought since results were published, so the man in the know thinks its a good buy. Why arent more people buying?

Always worries me - start ups where the directors sit on millions of shares. They can't trade in the close period leading up to results, but are they looking at a pay day when results are anounced, by cashing in loads?

Looks like we have the answer here with a further purchase. Little tick up again today, I reckon we are looking good here, but very low activity levels could make for a volatile ride. It all really depends on how (or if) ELE intend to raise their profile

just sit back and watch the rise over the coming months imho,a good one to have a little cash in,first profit recorded and more director buying got to be good news.

LONDON (AFX) - Electric Word PLC said chairman Nigel Wray has bought 200,000
shares in the company at 6.0625 pence each, taking his total holding to 9.9 mln
shares, or a 12.75 pct stake.

LONDON (AFX) - Electric Word PLC, a publisher of professional development
information, is upbeat on its prospects after it reported its first profit,
before goodwill amortisation and the net investment in new product development,
of 31,000 stg in the first half to May 31, 2003.
This compares with a loss of 76,000 stg in the same period last year.
With the net investment in new product development increasing to 281,000,
pretax losses widened to 317,666 stg from 218,590. Sales rose 18 pct to 1.25 mln
and subscription revenue was up at 1.07 mln against 808,000.
During the period under review, the company launched three newsletters with
a further five ready for testing in the second half of the year.
For the first time, this half year saw a majority of new subscriptions for
electronic rather than print versions of the products, with the majority of
those coming from customers outside the UK.
Looking forward, the group said its medium and long-term outlook remains
"very encouraging" and expects to continue organic growth in the second half.

should be seeing some news flow on these this month bit worrying the drop lately hope there is no bad news around the corner, can't see why there should be and a while ago there were some good buy's.i think it's a company going in the right direction and by the end of this month i reckon we could be seeing 8-9 pence, could possibly see a profit in the next results here's hoping.

well howeller i hope your right been thinking of dipping my toe in for the last few sessions but needed to get hold of some cash first we will see but i have a sneaky feeling that it was asell and we could see a mark down first thing, however i'm the eternal pessimist so with any luck your view could be right. good luck.

well run company with good prospects a series of protected trades been going through at end of day but a 500000 sell appearing today could be end of run up and guess what i did brought a few today bloody typical still i reckon could be an excellent long term hold.

All I know is that this company is well run and even in times of trouble keeps moving ahead. People will soon realise that these are the sort of companies to invest in for the future
