Don't forget, you peasants, I have 69m shares in ICON tucked away for my future.

Eventually, they will blow you all out of the water financially.

Jealousy will get you nowhere.

different world - 15 Aug 2020 - 14:25:17 - 1427 of 11920 @SupplyME stock finance fintech co, - SYME

It is impossible, of course, to compare SYME with other spectacular stocks of the past.

None of them are around now in their original form, for all sorts of differing reasons.

Some reasons were total fraud, some were lies, and some were just overestimations of what was basically "in the ground".

However, there does appear to be one strong difference between SYME and the other stocks, of which I'll try and post an approximate price estimation below.

First one up was Poseidon. This was listed in Oz and London in 1969, and played on the back of the then nickel boom. Nickel was in high demand (and short supply) and the promoters of Poseidon way overestimated the amount of nickel they (thought) they had in the ground. If my memory serves me correctly, it was floated in London at the princely sum of 3/6d (now 17-1/2p). The nickel price rose spectacularly over the next 6-12 months and the shares peaked at £124 before the "lie" was finally exposed.

Secondl was Polly Peck. Again I have to raid the memory bank, but I think it was some sort of reverse takeover of an old east end clothing firm, by Azil Nadir. I do actually recall the premises in Whitechapel as it was on my to work. The shares languished around 6p for some time, again there wasn't just an overestimation of the potential (and profits) of Polly Peck, but this time fraud entered the fray. Needless to say they went bust, and Nadir fled the country.

The third stock I remember going from rags to riches was Somportex, I think in the early 80's on the back of a boom in a "new" drink called "Slush Puppy". This was basically a semi-frozen flavoured drink (how many had those years ago when the freezer conked out!), and youngsters clamoured for it, but once again the overestimation of the number of shops stocking it (I think Somportex had the full licence not just for the brand name but the equipment installed in shops too), led to an eventuall downfall and relative obscurity as slush puppy quickly fell out of fashion. The perfect "fad" which burnt out in a short space of time.

Now I mention these three stocks for one good reason. There was a pattern in all of them in that they took off mainly based on "estimation" or in one case downright fraud. Not one of them had issued any solid material statement showing that positive work had already been done and that their project was a work in progress. Unlike those three, SYME have already issued statements showing what has already been achieved, and the number of customers. Of course, there will always be estimates for future growth but out of all the companies, only SYME has anything substantial to show at this stage of the game.

To compare share price performance, SYME have gone from a low of 0.05 to the current 0.34, a multiple of approximately 7.

POLLY PECK went from 6p to £36 a multiple of 600.
POSEIDON went from 17-1/2p to £124 a multiple of 708

I don't have price info for SOMPORTEX but I believe it did bag around 50 times at the peak.

The reason I point out the price comparison is for those who are now talking of SYME being "overpriced" or "speculative". Even on a momentum basis and if SYME had nothing at all to offer, save for estimation (don't mention fraud) it hasn't even bagged anywhere near the others - momentum traders take note.

The difference, of course, is that SYME DO have solid evidence and proof of "work in progress".

Even a mere 100 bagger from here would only give a price of around 35p, so by observing the above one can see the massive potential if forecasts and figures that are being quoted even come half to fruition
