My shares are with AJBell and Interactive Investors and are still there when I login.

Regarding paper certificates, I actually ran this question past 8PG last year (cannot remember when). From memory, we do not need paper certificates as they are held in nominee accounts with the brokers.

I think you need to raise your own issue with IG.

Regarding selling/trading the shares, as Chinese Investor said you can transfer to the Share Centre and sell via asset match. This does not appear to be a liquid market as far as I can see.
