Some interesting (to me at least) observations of parallels in a couple of companies I own shares in.. SEE and EDEN.
Both have patents for Disruptive technology with multiple commercial opportunities. Both have big name customers who are very complimentary and both are ahead of the competition but they need to stay ahead and need more money to optimise the technology.

What has both companies done..

Bring in Strategic investors with wider market experience and made board changes to facilitate this.

I see the Livingbridge investment as a new chapter in EDENs story and a new chapter and style of leadership of EDEN from Sean Smith. Good luck to all.

oh yes almost forgot Both Jam Tomorrow.

That makes sense, BUT... They will know what their partners are doing and be getting feedback from them constantly.

IF that feedback is good, then they'll have the confidence to set other things in motion.

Every time I've spoken to them they are confident.

It's a chicken and egg situation. If you believe that the product works and what they're saying isn't nonsense then buy. If you don't then stay clear. There is no more to be said really. I believe and I'm in. Longbridge believe and they're in. They also have much more knowledge of whats going on than i do, so I find that reassuring.

All the rest of the stuff floating around is a total red herring. We don't know the ins and outs. How can you debate what you don't know? You can surmise and speculate, make assertions and waffle, but until the smokescreen clears and figures are out there then thats all it is.

Shore Cap say it's still on course. Thats very good news. We will see!

NickRevI agree with some of your points but wonder if the marketplace is yet to be as convinced of Eden's tech as Eden is. Surely the sensible approach would be to ensure what is currently out there is selling well and making money before getting involved in new products. That us basic business sense ??Q12

At the AGM there was talk of needing funding to roll out other uses for encapsulation. They RNS states thats what the funding is for.

"The Placing is an important milestone in Eden's development, enabling the Company to accelerate its expansion without the funding constraints under which the Company has operated to date. In particular, the Placing will enable us to expand our product portfolio and geographical footprint for both existing and new products. We have worked hard to secure product registrations in Europe and Africa and build a strong base of commercialisation partners in these regions, and we look forward to further leveraging our past investments and relationships in order achieve the full potential of Eden's technology globally."

Patents are not for life and things need to move on at pace.

I'm happy with the funding and the fact that Longbridge are involved.

They are as you say a big firm, and £2mill is not a huge investment, but like everyone else they don't like to lose their money. They don't "Punt".

Added to which there is now to be a member of Longbridge on the Board. That adds experience to the BOD.

It's good news.

Q12 volumes have been so tiny in recent weeks it is hard to conceive that much forward selling has occurred. It will be interesting to see if Shore Cap can shift the other 600K worth and what happens if they can't

TW was pointing out all the fraud at QPP for 18 months before SGH blundered in and they were fully aware of it.

TW had been pointing out the issues with GBO for 18 months before Deutche Bank went and wasted a load of other peoples money on that too.

Hillofwad.

I agree with your Forewarned is Forearmed observations. What is most illuminating about the DD that LivingBridge would have done is that it was done at the same time TW was pointing at all the TT details and making such a lot of noise. There is absolutely no way that they would have not looked at what TW was alleging and drawn there own conclusions.

They clearly disagree with TW and I'm confident that if a company like Living Bridge comes to this conclusion the FRC will do the same. They are all looking at the same info after all.

TW suggestion that everyone else is turning a blind eye to fraud is simply not credible anymore.. LivingBridge's investment in EDEN was the last nail in that coffin.

SK & Q-tips The market certainly is littered with failed punts but bearing all the background noise ,.whiffs of fraud etc dont you think they would have undertaken more substantive research before wading in -forewarned is forearmed. I am sure they would have carried out more due diligence than the sleuthlike Tomboy did when he stood side by side with the convicted criminal masquerading under a false name . Lets face it if they cleared the shelves of product you would probably say it will be returning as its not fit for purpose

Agreed SK and why do people get so certain about their investment just because a fund manager "takes a punt" as you say, with other peoples money. The market is is littered with failed punts. Is there any possibility that some of someones placing allocation has already been sold to lock in a guaranteed return in advance ? Of course not Quazie, that has never happened in the history of AIM. And I wonder why the share price has dropped so much in recent weeks given such positivity throughout (company, broker, rns, bb posters)? Or course quazie it must be TW and his shorting gang again. SK Just goes to show that despite cash burn, alleged fraud what an amazing coup to get £2m gross from a reputable source wherethe product has barely left the shelf You have chosen wisely not to discuss this Just take a long look at the partners at Livingbridge a pretty impressive lot unlike some of the individuals Tomboy chooses to stand shoulder to shoulder with

supersonico,

Eden committed the fraud, not anyone else what part of that are you struggling to understand?

One of the reasons I don't go on MW site much these days is that I really struggle with the constant bullish tone of posters. For example taking the placing just announced. MW himself is suggesting that the company now has £2.6m to invest in various areas. Come on !!!Today's RNS states quite clearly that the sum (which is not itself underwritten, albeit I accept the fund manager is taking the lions share and it is likely that Shore will successfully place the balance at the price) is BEFORE expenses. So what could these be ? I'm no expert but let's say it is around 10% call it quarter of a mill ? So we are now down to £2.35m.In the absence of any hard numbers for 9 months, it is difficult to figure what the net current liability position could actually be right now. If the Terpene tech "deal" which cost the humble PI £920k in dilution, got the company £600k in August, and the 30/6/15 net current liability position was £244k, then on conservative cash burn figures, that money should pretty much be gone by now and likely the company is back in net current liability country again, say around £100k/£150k. Further I am sure Mr Abrey would prefer to keep some cash reserves back for the time being, let's face it, Eden is not yet cash flow positive so some form of cushion will be required, maybe another £250/£300k.So in reality Even with a recent expensive funding in August plus today's, £3.5m of dilution will mean less than £2m to spend so why say it is £2.6m when it never was.

Time has come for TW to call Shore Cap Frauds or Shut up.

He has written to the FRC calling EDEN a fraud.

Shore Cap promote an EDEN placing and therefore complicit in EDEN fraud.

We await the Shore Cap FRAUD call on Shareprophets from TW the Sheriff.

Well, todays news puts the funding question to bed and brings on board a quality investor.
Would have liked to have done it at a higher sp, but there it is, dilution is not huge, esp if eden can use this cash well and really push on.

here is relevant bit in broker note re bayer

Case studies

Here is an example of how one of Eden’s licence deals works from a financial perspective.
In this case it is with Bayer Animal Health (Bayer) for use of Eden’s GO-E technology. We
expect Bayer to commence commercial sales of its products, which use GO-E in 2017 on a
scale basis with the potential for some early initial sales in 2016.
 Exclusive licence agreement signed with Bayer for North America (December
2009).
 Bayer has been developing flea, tick and shampoo products for the past three
years at its expense using Eden’s GO-E technology and expertise.
 $0.25m of upfront payments received to date.
 Future milestone payments of $0.8m built into the agreement.
 Royalties on net sales of the product of 4-6%, depending on the product category

if you mean this bit:

' Pursue commercialisation of animal health products outside of the United States'

Eden has a deal with Bayer, my understanding is Bayer is looking to launch Eden based products in N.America this year, so perhaps they are looking at other territories beyond US?....

Can anyone shed light on the "outside of the United States ".

Could this have any relevance to our imminent (hopefully) Eastman/ Taminco licence
