140p turned into resistance. I think the next update is with the AGM on the 27th July. If they're touring the City post the Prelims maybe they can snare a new Fundie to buy in.

Looks like they've affirmed 2012 forecast of 11.5p:

120p = 10.4x
130p = 11.3x
140p = 12.2x
150p = 13x
160p = 13.9x

"Given our order cover for the coming 12 months and the current strength of our markets, we anticipate that the Group will show modest headline growth through continuing activities replacing the high level of one-off revenues last year.

Given the overall improving markets and the progress we have made in implementing our strategy, we announce today that we have increased our medium term revenue growth and adjusted* operating profit margin targets.

We consider that our strategy has substantially expanded our addressed markets. We currently assess the scale of our global markets to be c.£3.7bn. Our markets are growing at c.6% currently, up from c.3% per annum last year. Given our growth initiatives, we envisage that the Group is capable of achieving an underlying revenue growth profile of more than 10% per annum over the next three years along with further upside potential and we believe that this strategy will permit us to continue with our dividend policy on a progressive basis.

Given the overall improving markets and the progress we have made in implementing our strategy, we announce today that we have increased our target for underlying revenue growth to above 10% per annum and adjusted* operating profit margin to c.17%."

Aviva have increased their stake by 4.5m shares, if that has cleared an overhang the share should start motoring up to the Prelims on the 6th June. Chart has nice support at 120p and 160p looks very achievable. I topped up with some more yesterday.

Naked Trader's dipped in and out of E2V several times, guessing this may be more about getting back in cheaper than getting out completely

I have a lot of respect for the guy. Have two of his books but he bought Laird which was a big mistake, IMO. Wouldn't touch 'em. So, he's not always right and share price has shown that since his trade.

The article I posted says September 2012 for a decision on the Indian fighter jet deal so not expecting big moves in the near term. But a solid company that I've yet to find fault with so sticking around for now.

Reckon NT must have been on something when he read the last update, it really was exceptionally good and the share price just didn't respond, who knows why. They are beating their own forecasts and obviously confident enough to reinstate the divi, it can only get better imo, I think they update again in July and the last 2 years E2V haven't been hit by the usual summer share price drift. I'm minded to add a few.

I wouldn't put it past him trying to get these at a lower price. Like I said unusual for him to sell out so close to a results day and even then his normal trick is to sell half!

Still a lot of upside here imo

I was into Fenner and the share price dropped when NT sold. It has recovered nicely and is doing well.

Interesting... a lot of big sales went through before the bald eagle's update this afternoon so maybe it's not just because of him. The results are out 6th June and I think it's unsual for him to sell before then.

Can't see any downside myself and i'm inclined to wait for the results...

I don't see any reason for the big sales. Has a broker changed their view?

They have been just been awarded a few patents in the US but I can't find anything else...

GENEVA, May 23 -- Publication No. WO/2011/058360 was published on May 19.

Title of the invention: "ISOLATION TRANSFORMER FOR A CATHODE HEATER SUPPLY FOR A MICROWAVE SOURCE."

Applicants: E2V TECHNOLOGIES (UK) LIMITED (GB).

Inventors: Robert Richardson (GB), Michael Bland (GB), Joe Hutley (GB), Nigel Cox (GB) and Colin Bennett (GB).

According to the abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "An isolation transformer for a cathode heater supply for a microwave source has a first U- shaped secondary winding (421), comprising two parallel leg portions joined at one end thereof by a bridging portion. A primary winding (422) is located around and concentric with a portion the bridging portion. A monitor winding passes through primary core assemblies of the primary winding. Electrical insulation (115) insulates the secondary winding from the primary winding. For a DC cathode heater supply a second U-shaped secondary winding is spaced from and aligned with the first U-shaped secondary winding and first and second smoothing chokes comprising respective core assemblies (1127, 1129) are fitted over connection leads arranged for connecting two ends of the first secondary winding to the cathode heater. Synchronised rectifiers are connected between the secondary windings and the first smoothing choke; and control means are provided for the synchronised rectifiers."

The patent was filed on Nov. 11, 2010 under Application No. PCT/GB2010/051880.

Bit of background on the Indian fighter jet situation. Dated from April so not up to date, but looking at a SEptember 2012 time frame for a decision.
