Liberum not looking too clever atm.
I haven't checked the covenant technicalities but a company in a sound financial position rarely has difficulty in negotiating a waiver or revision of terms. The options in this particular case look multiple and one wonders why Liberum chose to make it such a defining issue.

Doesn't mention the Liberum target.

Liberum are sole brokers to Gateleys so have a vested interest in rubbishing DWF. I'd have much more faith in other analysts' assessments. I'm expecting the year end results to show profit in line with predictions and a positive outlook for 23/24. There is plenty of upside at current price

That was an excellent call by liberum.

Debt doesn’t really work in professional service firms particularily as the assets are (very mobile) partners.

Having said that if it gets to 30p I’m a buyer

Such trouble makers Liberium, they did the same to NEX after a really decent set of results.
So who do you feel has more credibility, shore and berenberg or liberium.

Would a cut in the generous dividend coupled with a favourable renegotiation of the covenants not be a more sensible line of progress than issuing equity in order to maintain the dividend?

This stock has turned up in a screen that I use. It looks interesting to me, but the share price momentum is awful. Does anyone know if a trading update is likely soon?

yes that's nearly 5% of the company. i think it makes sense that a selling clearing.
i was surprised to be able to buy a while back at 80p without any price move.
i have invested further as the price dropped.

am i mistaken that they indicated at the time of the acquisition they would be doing an update in jan? i wonder now that the share register is clearer that they might be happy to give some update.

from the chart interestingly, if there is a bounce from these levels then it will very mucg look like a double bottom formed, confirmed with good volume. the yield here at c.9% is getting close to a little too good to be true so lets hope there is a price rise soon because no buyers at these levels indicates no faith in that divi being maintained.

Odd prices this morning - at about 8:10 I was offered 82.6p which I refused and then half an hour later I get them at 80.747p! (Shows as sell on advfn). This may not necessarily be a good thing, it could imply there are loose shares about and the price lacks a firm basis. However it does show one should be a bit choosy, especially in early trading.
Ex 1.6p div tomorrow.

Slight signs of movement in the right direction. Fundamentals look solid enough as noted in above link.
