04/10/2019 18:22 | Edited my earlier post - having read details of the 2 RNSs - as I understand it, it is a £20m raise - placing to insts (£16.1M), offer via for PrimaryBid (up to £3.9M) and open offer to take up the balance of the £3.9M. The offer via PrimaryBid was interesting until I read that you will not receive your shares until 31 Oct at the earliest - and possibly 2 weeks later. I'd prefer not to pump my cash into PrimaryBid and then to wait for up to 6 weeks until I am sure everyting is OK and I receive my shares. The other angle is that if the market does go down in the meantime, you are sitting a loss before you can do anything about it. I hope PrimaryBid is not fully subscribed, because it would be better for all of us PIs who want to subscribe for additional DUKE shares to do so in an open offer, in our SIPPS and ISAs, rather than risking cash through PrimaryBid. | melody9999

10/9/2019 13:16 | Yep - id rather take the 10 percent on their debt than the yield on their equity | williamcooper104
10/9/2019 13:02 | I've just sold all of mine. Returning so much cash to shareholders when you are paying near as damn it 10% interest on borrowings, doesn't seem very prudent to me. | f15jcm
09/9/2019 13:13 | Looking at the announcement at the time of the fundraising : "Upon full capital deployment, the Board believes that Duke will be able to increase the Company's dividend to a near double digit yield." That would be based on the issue price of 44p, so about a 4p dividend is their target | stevie blunder
09/9/2019 12:40 | In the FY results, I noticed "a large pipeline of new deal opportunities in late stage negotiation". So these look to be well advanced. Having read the BB, my only other comment relates to weakness in the UK economy and recession. Sooner or later we will encounter recession and the DUKE partners will suffer along with all the other companies that you or I are invested in. However DUKE's investment criteria looks at longevity of partners - so those partners will have been through recessions before. In the final analysis, if you trust the DUKE management to invest and manage their partner relationships wisely.... then OK. If you don't trust DUKE management, then sell! I continue to hold for dividend and capital appreciation | melody9999
09/9/2019 11:39 | clearly subjective, but you have some interesting points. | eentweedrie
09/9/2019 11:27 | Don't like the wording of some of the release: "at the current time the current dividend is well covered by operating cash flow " This does not apply to the year ended, but to the "current time" There are 197M shares in issue. Divi is 2.8p. Cash cost of divi is £5.5M Operational cash flow last year was £4.1M. So presumably the current run rate of Operational Cash Flow is over £5.5M, but is would be good to see the figure. They also say: "increases to the quarterly payout as additional accretive capital is deployed." That is to say that the dividend will only be increased when more capital is deployed. The "strong pipeline" needs to be converted into investments. I think it is a "steady as she goes" report. | stevie blunder
09/9/2019 10:41 | This will do me so happy to hold for now A stable and increasing dividend yield is a fundamental principle that the Company will continue to focus on in future years. I am pleased to report that at the current time the current dividend is well covered by operating cash flow and the Board will continue to monitor the ability to make further increases to the quarterly payout as additional accretive capital is deployed. | cheshire man |
