I am going to email DTZ holdings. Next, to Financial Ombudsman.
It might be futile, but i have to try. (The FAQ section on DTZ website says zero value for ordinary shareholders.)
I think everyone who has lost money in this transaction should make a formal written complaint. The more complaints the Financial Ombudsman receives, the severe it gets.

All these efforts may be futile and we may not get any money back, but they should be given a big blow by the relevant authorities for treating the ordinary shareholders in such a miserable way.

( Finishing things over weekend, behind scenes and without giving a chance to shareholders to sell their shares- Utter nonsense by any standards)

duncan

you cant whinge and moan about it being a scam. Why ? Because you bought it AFTER the RNS clearly stated there would be little or nothing left for shareholders.

DandD, oh dear, sorry. Who knows what was going on behind the scenes, what with the HK Standard report (smells a bit scammy that) and Sofima taking a 4% stake (wheoever they may be).

You're into CSLT as well I see. At the moment that looks set to go the same way as DTZ, albeit with a token 0.1p per share left for the ordinary shareholder. Funny how the chairman is confident of being able to raise the funds and make a go of the company on his own, but not as a Plc.

R 2 D 2: Yes, just that. Anyone long 100k @ 3p will lose £3k so it follows that if you are short 100k @ 3p you will eventually be credited with £3k.

Are you saying that if I had 100,00 short @ 3p. IG will eventually deposit £3k in my account ? (£3k profit)

As I said above, shorts should get settled out at zero, although from previous experience it could take a while. Meanwhile, IG have increased margin on DTZ positions to 100%, thus tying up cash.

No sign of duncandisorderly yet. I can't help wondering if they were in fact shorting. It's just I notice they have also made similarly enthusiastic posts about AAT, CLST, PXS and ZEN - all looking rather unhealthy.

I hear that IG expect to be closing out shorts at zero. Still might take a few months I guess.

RNS released

Holdings also announced on 8 November 2011 that the valuation of the DTZ group derived from the UGL proposal meant that, given the level of debt within the DTZ group, there was minimal value, if any, to be attributed to the ordinary shares of Holdings and the transaction completed yesterday will realise no value for the ordinary shares of Holdings.

An administrator was appointed yesterday to Holdings and the Company has requested, and the UK Listing Authority has agreed to, a cancellation, effective 08:00 on 5 December 2011, of its shares from admission to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority.
