13/10/2003 14:03 | Not showing yet, but I wondered what moved the price ... PS: and when it shows it will show as a sell! LOL ... | bargain
13/10/2003 13:52 | My buy was for 29715 shares, when it is put through. | pippin
13/10/2003 12:59 | Bloody hell. Found this one for myself. I see, penpont, about the Citywire comment, which has not exactly helped liquidity today. Tried to buy a few. Screen price 48-51. One MM not interested in making a price in more than 10k. The other offered 10k at 51, or 25k at 53. I took the latter and the thing immediately got about five mark-ups. They don't want any buyers, that's for sure. I don't think they have any stock or know where they can get some. I used to watch this in the good old days of the tech boom. The company is really doing well now IMO and I agree with the above posters that the rating is way too low given the strength of the balance sheet, earnings growth and so on. I am not a trader - I'm an investor! The only real downside is the list of reprobates posting on this thread. Dil, me old mucker, still in there? And Cat too. Dear oh dear, and me getting in so much higher up than them! | pippin
11/10/2003 15:13 | Just noticed from citywire that P Webb recently bought 400k of these. Also noticed they recently appointed W D Broe as broker - assume there will be a note forthcoming with forecasts which should help raise profile. I'm really impressed by the divi record - if we assume the final might be raised to 1.50 from 1.25, the past 3 year record will read: 02: 0.5p 03: 1.25 04: 2.00 Meaning you're getting a company with leading edge tech thats actually making real profits with markets that look as though they still have huge potential .... and yielding 4%. Citywire comment today is: 'Despite a heady rise from 27.5p earlier in the year to Friday's 49.5p close the shares still do not look that stretched priced at 13.7 times historic earnings.' I have just put on the watch list . | penpont
15/9/2003 18:18 | Reaching for the sky ... | bargain
11/9/2003 08:54 | Hi DJ - mine are tucked away happily in an ISA too ! Would not sell on a rag sheet recommendation - was just curious as to their reasoning. | wirralowl
10/9/2003 17:55 | Hi, Wirral. I'd be interested in the answer to that question too. Results seem pretty good to me, and the London mayoral contract will cancel out the loss of the Edexcel contract over the next 12 months. After that, I suppose we await the results of the trials with other exam bodies and the possible further extension of the local election contracts. The balance sheet is strong with net cash of £4.92m (essentially unchanged, about 14p per share). No forecasts available (so far as I know), but if we assume something like 4.3p eps for the full year (+19%) and 5.00p for next year (+16%) the shares are still cheap and I'm holding mine. | diogenesj
09/9/2003 18:09 | Sorry A23366418 - I was just talking about interims - last year there was no interim dividend - only a dividend at year end. BTW Do you know what reasons techinvest gave for recommending as a sell in August ? | wirralowl
09/9/2003 17:26 | Had plenty of divis when I first invested in this gem.......so no maidens here!!! | a2336418
09/9/2003 16:12 | Hadn't noticed the Interim results released around midday - explains the rise : turnover and profits ahead of last year despite high spending on R&D, eps up, almost £6m in the bank, with good prospects going forward and a maiden interim dividend. Top stuff. | wirralowl
09/9/2003 15:00 | Looks like it ... | bargain
09/9/2003 11:50 | First quarter has been flat..R&D expenditure rising. Can they meet the full year forecasts? | nurdin
09/9/2003 11:23 | Possible reaction to yesterday's news re : Government plans for a 'genetic' database on the entire population ? Perhaps DRS could provide for this ?? Just surmising... | wirralowl
09/9/2003 10:43 | oi mush :) fresh air to 90p now | dodddy
09/9/2003 10:08 | Couldn't resist it then dodddy luv The Aha Khan :-) | dil
09/9/2003 10:03 | Still rising today but no volume. What gives ... ? | bargain
08/9/2003 23:43 | New high ahead of interims due next week. | dil
08/9/2003 16:56 | Despite Techinvests advice to sell at start of August the price action is still keeping within the rising trend line...target still 70P....looks as though that may well be conservative. Has most of Warren Buffets ingredients for success albeit on a small scale!!! | a2336418
27/8/2003 08:59 | thanks dil | nurdin
26/8/2003 16:14 | Sorry , didn't include it as it was a bit unbelievable - around 5p expected according to Shares rag. | dil
