21/8/2007 08:42 | I had expected a little better. | simon14
21/8/2007 07:33 | Daniel Stewart Comment Today : Dori Media - BUY Price: 164p Target price: 253p Code: DMG.L Analyst: James Hollins | 020 7776 6571 Positive interims Dori has reported H1 sales growth of 32% ($12.7m vs $9.7m), driven largely by a 92.8% rise in merchandise sales relating to the broadcast of its hugely popular 'Rebelde' Telenovela in the US, Mexico and Brazil. An improved gross margin (72.5% vs 69.9%) was offset by higher merchandise commissions. However, group EBITDA rose from $4.1m to $4.4m (+8%), with PBT up from $2.1m to $2.4m. Dori has carried out a number of important strategic initiatives over the past six months that should drive exceptional long-term growth. One, it has announced a partnership with YouTube for the delivery of three branded Telenovela channels. Two, it has set up a new subsidiary to operate TV channels for Israel's largest multi-channel platform. Three, it has established a US subsidiary to monetise the fast-growing interest in its content in the US. We are currently forecasting FY07E EBITDA growth of 29.4% (to $11.2m), driven by lower merchandise commission costs relative to H1, and higher sales of broadcasting rights. We are leaving our FY07E EPS estimate unchanged (28.84c) and, based on a current P/E of just 11.4x (7.9x FY08E), we retain our Buy stance and 253p price target. | papalpower
21/8/2007 07:13 | Oh and by the way ....Recent developments, which occurred just after the close of the reporting period, also have particular significance; - firstly, Dori Media Spike's successful bid for the rights to produce and operate the HOT premium movie channels and the series channel is a big achievement and it will significantly boost our profile both in Israel and in the US. - Secondly, our partnership with Google's YouTube represents our first on-line venture, a field that will open new opportunities, - and thirdly, we very recently announced the opening of a new US company for Dori Media Group, which will give us a physical presence in what could become one of the largest Telenovela markets in the world." | silverfern
21/8/2007 06:56 | Agreed nick, we might even see an upgrade to full year figures now, given the outlook statement and the note of the contribution from the opening of the new DMA.. "Outlook -- Favorable outlook for full year 2007, with anticipated revenue growth from the opening of DMA, the Group's new subsidiary in the USA, and the launch of new shows including 'Lalola' in the second half of the year." | papalpower
21/8/2007 06:50 | Thats a pretty bullish set of results. Profits growth was held back by revenue recognition and the second half will be a lot stronger as they have said they are confident of full year expectations. Be interesting to see what Daniel Stewart have to say in their commentary. This looks to have massive potential over the next few years especially if they can sell the telenovela to the massive hispanic population in the USA. | nickcduk
20/8/2007 11:46 | YouTube creating telenovela channels By Brian Byrnes Aug 17, 2007 BUENOS AIRES -- Latino drama and intrigue is coming to a computer near you. Google-owned YouTube is teaming with Dori Media Group to make telenovelas available on the video-sharing behemoth. It's a first-of-its-kind arrangement that reflects the growing global popularity of the primarily Spanish-language dramas, currently seen in some 60 countries around the world. Israel-based Dori Media has been responsible for much of this expansion, sending the South American soap operas to countries in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. YouTube will create three dedicated channels to the genre that will contain trailers, outtakes and interviews with the stars of such shows as "Rebelde Way" and "Sos Mi Vida." The sites will be updated daily and, just like everything in the YouTube community, users can vote, share and comment on the content. "By providing our content online, we are able to reach telenovela fans wherever they are, and promote our TV series to an even larger number of viewers, in particular to our significant teenage audience," Dori Media Group CEO Nadav Palti said. | papalpower

20/8/2007 10:56 | GI, your buy has just moved the share price up. This is a lively stock when buys come in, and can move in big swings.......so all being well tomorrow, we should be "swinging up" by a long way. | papalpower
20/8/2007 10:55 | LOL ;) I am "ramping" it over here on my special thread ;) LOL :) (results should be out tomorrow, but anyway if not then this week for sure imv) | papalpower
20/8/2007 10:52 | A good bit of ramping by PP has persuaded me to join you all at this party. Such a low pe and sadly a wide spread meant conflicting pressures but here we go. Results are due soon I understand so let's see the pe surge upwards and the spread tighten. | greek islander
19/8/2007 09:03 | Cheers silver, I hope the numbers here (expected soon?) are as good as I think they will be. This companys shares react to news they rarely anticipate it. | simon14
18/8/2007 20:59 | This company is flying! The price will also fly when sanity is restored. I took major profits early in the year but bought back over quiet months to have nearly 20k and won't be selling. | silverfern
17/8/2007 15:37 | Should be results next week, so the market will have some hard data to chew on then. | papalpower
17/8/2007 15:28 | Now thats the more appropriate reaction to such news, this f????ing market. | simon14

10/8/2007 02:52 | HY end is June 30th. FY end is Dec 31st. Interims will be due before Sept 30th, and if the past is a reference to future, Interims were last year on August 15th, so potentially the same again this year ? | papalpower
09/8/2007 09:50 | Thanks Papal, why start a new thread, just post it here, less messy that way. But thanks anyway. | simon14 |
