18/1/2012 17:29 | Thanks for the reply. I am a bit surprised that no-one has picked up on that quote until now. I can't see a problem if the fund sold out (presumably at over £5) as the share price had got a bit ahead of itself early last year. It is strange though that he has also lobbed in those doubts about refinancing when Dominos only has bank facilities of £38m and throws off £30m of cash every year. There is a £25m standby facility due for review in Dec 2012 and a term facility of £13m that is due in Jan 2014. I can't see that the company would have a problem getting new finance at the due time, the only downside being they'll probably have to pay a higher margin than the current 0.5% over LIBOR. In February 2011, (before the German announcement) they were happy that planned capex until 2017 could be met from cash flow. As you say, we should have an update soon. | aa29

18/1/2012 13:35 | AA , I thought it was a strange reason, seeing as though debt refinancing is going to apply to hundreds of companies. I suppose his thinking is that the new german operation may not have finance projections that soon to see if the hoped for growth there is going to materialise ? Hopefully some german pointers with the results on february 15th | philanderer

13/1/2012 12:25 | Terry Smith: The keys to equity investing in 2012 13 Jan 2012 Most investors would be better off using index funds than active managers, but high quality corporates can still prosper in 2012, according to Terry Smith. His Fundsmith Equity fund returned 7.5% in the year to 30 December 2011, according to Morningstar, versus an IMA Global sector average fall of 9.5%. Smith said the fund's performance had been driven by holdings in Domino's Pizza, Philip Morris, Imperial Tobacco, Colgate Palmolive, and Unilever. ....The manager has sold out of Domino's, however, after a steep climb in its share price and concerns over its ability to refinance debt, due to take place in 2014, given the market environment.
