04/3/2021 10:50 | Well done thaisi. Yep originally set the order at £1.25 but once podgyted reminded me of the results I decided to close at £1.26 which almost definitely means they will hit £1.25 at some point today. Anyway the treasury has made more out of it than I did today and so I have done my bit for paying off the national debt today as well. Also meant I could add a few to my speculative very high yielder AA4. | gary1966
04/3/2021 10:46 | I've done the same. We are lucky cuz i didn't realize their results were coming on Monday either seems only like yesterday that they last updated the market? | thaisi
04/3/2021 10:00 | Just got the rest of the order filled and so happy with that as boosted the dividend by around 21%. Roll on Monday. | gary1966
04/3/2021 09:03 | Got just over 45% back at £1.26 and would have had the rest if I had left an order in. Anyway happy to stay in wait and see mode and now have an order in for the rest at £1.26. GLA | gary1966
03/3/2021 22:21 | G - with the market as it is at the moment you could have done the right thing - who knows. | podgyted
03/3/2021 18:23 | 8th results & OakTree Investment news to tag on hopefully ... | mo2550
03/3/2021 18:13 | I had forgotten that results were on Monday. :-( Oh well what is done is done and now I will just have to wait and see what happens over the next couple of days. | gary1966
03/3/2021 18:04 | Equally, with results on Monday (which I think will be good - with hopefully a good outlook statement), I viewed it pointless to mess around. | podgyted
03/3/2021 17:47 | I've been watching it for a year and any retrace on ex div was very brief. In the end I thought I'd save myself the grief and just buy and hold. | fardels bear
03/3/2021 17:10 | Guaranteed I'd say as I took a chance and sold my entire holding today in the hope of buying back cheaper when adjusting for Xd tomorrow. Most times I have sold other shares recently it has resulted in a sharp upwards re-rate so enjoy it over the next few days. | gary1966
03/3/2021 17:03 | 16:35 buyer continues accumulating daily - over million purchase yesterday - onwards & upwards hopefully .... | mo2550
24/2/2021 10:12 | Dividend fuelled rise .... | mo2550
24/2/2021 07:59 | If Biden brings up corporation tax rates again, however, then MLPs will have the pass through advantage restored. From the article linked: "Still, MLPs are likely to continue appealing to a group of yield-chasing investors. A few months ago, Stacey Morris, director of research for Alerian, ran a stress test on MLPs by assuming that they cut distributions by 75%. She concluded that MLPs as a group would still sport higher yields than REITs or utilities, traditionally regarded as some of the best dividend payers. MLPs are not about to go the way of the dodo. It's just that they are no longer the oil and gas safe haven they once were considered." | johnhemming
23/2/2021 21:18 | Here's an article which explains it better than I can. | mattybuoy
23/2/2021 21:15 | No but I think the tax treatment changed, so there has been a lot of restructuring into standard corporations. It's similar to what happened with Canadian Income Trusts about 10 years ago. From my own cursory reading :) | mattybuoy
23/2/2021 20:02 | Mattybuoy >"What until recently were called "MLPs"." Have they abolished this structure in the US now? I don't keep up to speed with US corporate law, but a cursory review of the net implies that Master Limited Partnerships still exist in the USA. | johnhemming
23/2/2021 18:34 | scrwal, DGOC is actually a UK incorporated public listed company (go and check at Companies House) i.e. registered in the UK. QED I think Interactive Investor may have erred in not charging SDRT on share acquisitions since it listed on the main market. | thetrotsky
23/2/2021 13:23 | DGOC's yield is not that unusual if you compare it to other companies operating in the US. What until recently were called "MLPs". One good example is Antero Midstream (NYSE:AM) which also operates in the Appalachians and until recently had a 15% yield. This has now gone down to 11% but it shows the principle. | mattybuoy
23/2/2021 07:28 | Blackrock continue to build their stake. | gary1966
22/2/2021 21:46 | Bring on the accounts - we'll have something else to talk about. | podgyted
22/2/2021 18:23 | We seem to have this conversation every week.. | fardels bear
22/2/2021 18:08 | ii does not charge any Withholding tax on DGOC held in their SIPP. ii credit me with DGOC dividends paid in dollars. | cassini
20/2/2021 13:15 | ii takes the 15% if held in an ISA. The stamp duty payment is confusing but I think it is because the company is only listed in the UK but is registered in the US , operates outside the UK and also doesn't have a share register in the UK ( if it does then stamp duty is payable). | scrwal
20/2/2021 13:10 | Withholding tax.... | fardels bear
20/2/2021 12:28 | What about withdrawing tax on II? Does it take withdrawing tax on ISA or SIPP account? AJ Bell seems not taking withdrawing tax on SIPP as far as I can remember. | ceaserxzy |
