Im reasonably hopeful of a potential counter bid Or a Merger deal to sort out the balance sheet to give long term investors the opportunity to realise the true potential. Spruce a possibility along with Eton but both don’t have the cash so a merger of sorts.
I’m convinced Neuro would pay double the current offer if forced they know it’s a steal

...And finally investors realise how undervalued this really is. 68p year high and currently at 12p.

The buyers will just keep mounting. Once this breaks 15p, there's nothing stop this. Absolute gift if you read the numbers that were achieved in that RNS.

Its clear on Level 2 that even the MMs are not letting you take big chunks. Watch this move quickly when they let it go.

Tick Tock.

Morning Simon and all,
Looks like he's already driven off into the sunset with a nice profit and a new start. What a very lucky man indeed ! Fingers crossed for a half decent replacement. I'm resigned to the fact that I will not see my original investment let alone any return for at least another 4 years, along with the 5 already served for bad behaviour :¬) Best wishes all tired investors. Change of luck I hope for in the near future.

For existing investors the share price has killed all sentiment. As a new investor I can't see why the WPhas droped so much. They have growing revenues , several assets at late stage development and a bug chunk of cash in the bank. The previous fund raises were not significantly discounted and they have stated next funding may not be dilutive. I don't expect them to raise money within a year and by that point the share price should be much higher. Therefore i am building a position pretty much at all time lows with so much news flow due this year.

The fact that Efmodi has been passed by UK & EU didn't seem to matter and Efmodi is still being prescribed in Scotland.
Seems VERY harsh.

I seem to recall that they said that the other EU trial & US one's (Connect) results will be passed to SMC when available.

This company are wasting money. Why have they recruited two more directors? Using investors money as a gravy train.

Most new Companies that want to make a mark of reputation would work every hour in a day for minimal wage until they are well established.

Overpaid and underworked!

A lot of their problems they said were down to a missed milestone in 2018. Wtf have they been doing for the past 4 years?

The staff at this Company don’t appear to know what work is and expect something for nothing.

What a waste of investor investment and time!

Agreed things look ugly. There is probably a thesis in this on what 'not to do' from an investor relations perspective. Somehow @ 18p DNL has ended up with a market cap of around £30mn and probably in excess of £20mn (current) net cash. An EV of c £10mn plays 2 products licensed for specific applications in The US and/or Europe and multiple international distribution agreements. A fraction of the cost of getting to that point of commerciality. One option would be to halt label expansion trials, cut costs, and milk the existing opportunities, with Eton, in particular, having dramatically picked up the pace of growth in Alkindi US sales post its agreement with Tolmar. There is hopefully merit in the company's plan to continue label expansion trials even if that requires further funding, most likely with an equity component. In a market where many shares appear to be in extreme special offer territory, we either need a cascade of further bad news, or maybe there is some value out there.

s34icknote,

Long term investment 5 year?

Hardly. A long term investment is 10+ years. Hence the term investment, to gain over time.

If people want short term gain that is ‘trading’; speculative practice.

Most investors have buckets of different types of areas where money is put to grow.

Money invested in Trusts or/and Good fundamentally sound companies which you keep a eye on and let it grow.

Then money put into stock that you are speculatively (gambling) acting on, where you wait for the share price to rise and you sell for a profit. Any sale is exempt from tax if done in an ISA. Which ever way you look at it the latter is ‘Trading’;, which isn’t that risky if you don’t need the money ( if the price falls, you wait for it to recover before you sell or average down and sell when it recovers slightly).

Then you have cash available to cover all the expenses you might have to cater for, ie, bills, holidays, presents, new car etc etc

Its too early to say that this stock is a Dog, need to see how it develops over a few years.

If you take Aviva for example ( insurance) its been languishing quite low even pre covid. Large hedge funds have recently taken a large notifiable stake in order to force out deadwood management practices.

The actions of the Hedge fund was to say to the directors stop coasting along taking a fat salary complacently, whilst investors pay to support your trough.

The Hedge Fund believes that aviva will be £8/ share in the near future.

So Diurnal, will meet a similar fate if it doesn’t deliver. Could be under the scrutiny of being forced to sell off bits or whole as GSK is experiencing now.

The BOD have continued to tap investors for more funds. They need to start selling now. Enough of pigging out with investors money. We want sales, profits and ultimately dividends. What good is an investment if it is always jam tomorrow. The BOD need to prove their monies worth. They have the products let's see whether they can convert this or will they do a Shield Therapeutics special faff around for a year with no income and raise another lot from investors/shareholders.
