Seems to be surviving the market sell off so far, only down a little bit. Could be a nice little haven in the storm in the coming months.

well I've put in for my allocated allowance and requested an extra 10000 shares on top....not a great amount but hopefully will make a 20% profit on them in the short term, which is better than a bank account :-)

I suspect its based on number of shares not taken up and then split out according to % holding perhaps?

Would applications above allocation be likely to be determined by some blanket prorata rule? Or perhaps some kind of cap per person.. I tried anyway as appreciate the opportunity to participate.

That wasnt rude just a slight rebuke. Anyway enough of the one way debate. Lets see if we get the update this month. Closing is 3rd july for the open offer so waiting a few days

jaf - sorry, I missed that Tiger was rude to you.

I wish you would both stop and just argue your corner. Discussion is good.

smarm,

Tiger wrote 'Maybe you should go on another board and ask how to answer (like before!)' which is hardly polite. My reply simply stated that I didn't want to bore the BB with another long argument so I suggested he get an answer from the horse's mouth. If you consider that rude, I apologize.

jaf - why be so rude to tiger. This is a discussion board and s/he is thinking aloud. There are no accusations, just a view as to why s/he thinks the timing is a bit suspect. Nowt wrong with thinking aloud.

tiger,

I am not going to get into another argument with you. What I will say is why don't you ask a member of the DCP board about it rather than post anonymously on here with your accusations. I always find it works for me.

So there is no contradiction?. The financing deal is pulled due to the believe better grades will be coming. Fine so why do a placement prior to the bulk sample? If their expectation is met when reviewing the results of the sample then the share price should react favourably. It is at that point you do the placement not 2 days after the final accounts that actuAlly still referenced the financing deal as advanced.

No conspiracy theories just a judgement call on the timing, unless the bulk sample is a disappointment and the share price falls in which case the timing from a mgmt point of view is blinding. However, everything so far published points to good results in which case a placement in july would of been more favourable...

Conspiracy theories, fantasy options,...great reasoned debate. Maybe you should go on another board and ask how to answer (like before!)

To be honest, no, I don't think it's strange. There is so much happening and scheduled to happen for DCP over the next few months that there was never going to be a time which wasn't close to some event or another.

I am not a believer in conspiracy theories and I take the simple view that the company was trying to let the private shareholders have the same chance to buy at the same price as the institutions. Nothing more.

Which I am going to do !

Nobody else think it is strange timing.

If the deadline is 1st july and the resource test update due on uk4 is as reported by the end of June. Why not wait and see what the results bring?

Has anyone received their Offer letter yet ? I haven't but my shares are held in a nominee account which might delay it.

I'll be asking for a large excess :) I have been building, or rather not spending cash waiting for this opportunity.

I think the deposit on the x-ray sorter is that they are made when ordered, there isn't stock on the shelf. I like the specific uses for the money which are targeted at returning more money more consistently and sooner with more resilience .

so whose going to apply for the open offer....

doing an open is not cheap to arrange - so why didn't they go for a lot more money and buy the high-volume x-ray rather than just pay a deposit........

I will take up my allowance not sure if I will take more - might have to break into piggy bank if I do :-)

Hi hpcg

On the convertible bonds, i know they amount to £4.2m but I wasn't 100% clear how to work out the cash amount using the 5.81p and number of underlying shares at current share price. ( I thought perhaps it would be a figure higher than 4.2m).

What figure do you get, can I ask?

Cheers

JAF1948 re post 1254. I have nearly written the same several times but it is probably a waste of breath for some. Actual investors will judge on a case by case basis. The discussions around the convertible bonds should make it obvious to everyone that paying off in cash, which the company has the choice to do, is best for shareholders even if equity is required. Actually the company should easily be able to cover that with proceeds from an open offer now. I will put in for substantially more than my allocation, but give the price strength I suspect I won't get over and above my entitlement.

Everyone seems relaxed now, we are all in the same lift going up. Some will get out at different levels , some will go to the top. Have a great weekend
