Diageo PLC said Monday that it has launched a partial tender offer to increase its stake in East African Breweries PLC to up to 65% from the 50.03% currently owned through its subsidiary Diageo Kenya Ltd.
The London-based maker of Johnnie Walker Scotch whisky, Guinness stout and Smirnoff vodka said the tender offer price is 192.00 Kenyan shillings ($1.53) an ordinary share with a maximum 118.4 million shares subject to the offer.
