I don’t know how much actual Guinness contributes to Diageo but recently Ive been astonished at the number of pints of Guinness I see on bars. |
For my 2 cents - nothings really changed. If in doubt do nothing, certainly wont be selling on this bad news. Might just be me, but I know alcohol is unhealthy but still drink and plan to continue doing so. Also, Diageo its alcohol free hedges bla bla. |
..... & dubious novel type (mRNA) COVID-19 vaccines, pressed onto frightened low-risk folks, including as un-trialled multi-booster regimens. These should have a risk warning, including for cancer.
Here is Prof Gus Dalgleish of St Georges London spelling out what he is seeing:
And here, in grim detail, are a lot of biologically plausible mechanisms |
Lol, so very true but you missed drugs, you can take drugs to counter all these ailments, drugs to stop you smoking, drugs to stop you drinking, drugs to make you skinny and as long as you're on drugs youll be as healthy as a zombie. So a few beers, what's not to like... |
Drink gambling and smoking are the easiest targets. Perhaps I would drink less if our government did a better job! Suet |
Shall we then conclude that from now on alcohol will be in the same category as tobacco despite alcohol kills globally less than tobacco ? In this case they should leave no stone unturned. So why don't they move into other areas to check how many millions are killed by: - McDonalds et al. and all those selling junk food - Fruits and vegetables containing high pesticide levels - Exposure to mobile phone radiations from Apple, Samsung et al. as every person I meet in the street is glued into his/her mobile device in a NON-STOP mode.
We should thus get hazard symbols on big Macs for diabetes, heart attacks and obesity. We should see danger signs on Apple/Samsung phones and any non-organic fruit and veg.
Then how many americans die from meat and milk containing hormones ? Did they support any study on why a human being can weigh up to 400kg+ if not caused by consumption of refined foods, big Macs, Coca Cola and hormones in meats and milk ? - This condition didn't exist before until junk food. Why don't they just destroy every existing industry on earth to finally allow humans to just sit down and wait for their destiniy while looking at each other's faces ?
For simplicity, they should check every hospital in the US to search for the number of patients with chronic deseases. Are these deseases caused by junk food/Coca/Pepsi and probably hormones in meats and milk or by alcohol ? - That is the main question.
This is where stupidity is at its best: "Alcoholic drinks should come with a cancer warning label after being linked to 20,000 deaths in the US each year, says U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy."
How many are killed and disabled by junk food every year at the same time causing billion dollars treatment and follow up for chronic deseases of those still alive ? |
This is one of those shares to dump and steer clear of, between cancer warning labels, recession blowing out high end booze sales, inflation in material costs, poor management, terrible charts…and well, just being listed on the dog index of the world. Terminal. |
Here are my predicions for interims.
Poor performance (with usual excuses and the promise of jam tomorrow).
Dividend cut.

Hell of a drop off from 12pm. Broker downgrade?

Is Trump saying stuff? |
So what was the news at 12pm? |
I think the low at £23 has been done, 3 strikes down there. Unfortunately share price will ne news driven now rather than track record driven as was in the reign of Ivan M. They’ve mishandled a few things including news since then. But it’s a good sign that £25 is the new £23. Good luck all |

I’m sort of hoping that £25 is the base level. Suet |
