Appointment of new Chief Executive


As announced on 26th March, Jon Scott-Maxwell is leaving the Group and Delta is
pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Atkinson as Chief Executive. These
moves take effect from today.



Todd Atkinson, aged 46, is a US citizen and has been Delta's Director of
Corporate Development and Legal Affairs in London since 2000. During this time
he oversaw the successful divestment of Delta's Electrical Division. Prior to
this, he was President of Delta America Inc. where he managed the successful
development of the businesses there including the eventual sale of United Power
Corporation. A qualified lawyer, he practised law in the US prior to joining
Delta in 1995.



Todd Atkinson will be joining the Delta board with immediate effect.



Commenting on today's announcement, Sir Martin Jacomb, Chairman of Delta said:



" Jon Scott-Maxwell has made a very significant contribution to the reshaping of
Delta over the past six years. I am delighted to announce the appointment of
Todd Atkinson as Chief Executive. He has experience of successfully managing the
Group's former US businesses and, more recently as Director of Corporate
Development, he played a vital role in maximising shareholder value through the
divestment of the Electrical Division."
