29/3/2004 11:28 | Agreed, a definite hold. I would love to know what happened with their workflow product and whether they have found a good market for that. qx | quantumx
29/3/2004 11:06 | Agreed - though the pension and the $ was already factored in by my calculations. Still think they have the scope to grow earnings in the face of these issues. A hold imo. CR | cockneyrebel
29/3/2004 10:46 | Good results, shame about the pension fund and the possible detrimental impact of the weak dollar, still, even if next year is 20p then a PE of 10 is very undemanding. Good to see that they have exposure to the Chinese markets which still has a reasonable manufacturing base! | quantumx

28/1/2004 10:45 | LONDON (AFX) - Delcam PLC said it achieved record sales in December 2003 and that trading for the year to December 2003 is expected to be above market expectations. The company is also expecting a lower tax charge in the 2003 accounts, largely due to tax credits arising from research and development tax credits in recent years. Delcam said it is also reviewing its pension fund and expects to find a funding deficit. Once the extent of the deficit has been determined it will decide how much and over what time period any deficit will be accounted for in the profit and loss account as an exceptional charge. The company plans to post its results for the year to December 2003 by the end of March 2004 following completion of the pension review | djalan
28/1/2004 09:36 | £3 has never happened, but you never know. Amazing the foresight Peter Miles (non-exec director) has, always seems to buy just at the right time, just before a price rise based on good news...... Hope he didn't buy in a close period AGAIN. I do hope Delcam continue to build upon the excellent products and staff that they have. | emmaflynn

28/1/2004 07:41 | trading statement this morning... * record sales * beating market expectations * uncertainty over level of funding deficit The funding deficit will inevitably create some uncetainty and hold back, what is otherwise an excellent update. | shuisky
27/1/2004 13:39 | Kitkat-I'd love to know how or where that PE=5.5 figure has come from. The house broker has 2003 EPS as 13.1 giving a PER=190/13.1=14.5 | shuisky
16/1/2004 16:31 | Don't say I didn't tell you guys to buy still time next week | kitkat |
