09/2/2005 13:24 | News on improvements in the US economy also bode well for DLC who do a lot of business over there. | quantumx
08/2/2005 13:02 | This one hops up on so little volume, I'm still hopeful of 20p this year and 24p next year. PEs of 10 and 8 and with the potential to start paying a decent dividend. | quantumx
07/2/2005 17:24 | Someone tipped this one over the weekend? | quantumx
31/1/2005 21:34 | Having a look. Is 190 crucial? (chart....) Any strengthening in the dollar should send this up. One to watch IMO. | cortez
14/1/2005 17:45 | In local currency terms sales grew 9%, so they are establishing market share. When the US Dollar strengthens the gained market share will turn into very favourable profit comparisons. Despite the pre-tax profit being below last years they still have ample room to express confidence in the future and increase the dividend. | shuisky
22/12/2004 09:24 | shame about the weakness of the dollar. | quantumx
04/11/2004 19:05 | I also hold Delcam and think there is further to go. It strikes me as a very attractive takeover prospect and am waiting for increased volume of trades as a precursor to an outright bid or agreed takeover. The illiquid nature of the stock can be most frustrating as long periods of inactivity can drain ones enthusiasm. | idmon
04/11/2004 15:14 | I still think there is at least 50% upside on this stock but it doesn't matter as I seem to be talking to myself! | quantumx
01/11/2004 13:18 | Anyone know why Delcam has been marked down today on no volume? | quantumx
21/10/2004 22:41 | The latest forecasts are 24.8eps & 28.3eps giving P/Es of 8.7 & 7.6. Upgraded from 22.5 & 25eps. That gives them growth of 19% & 14% respectively. | johnv
11/10/2004 16:43 | I'm with Quantumx on the Asian exposure story. Of course this means that they are exposedto any downtrurn/overcapaci What more do I want? I'd appreciate an increase in the dividend. SDespite the likelihhod of an increased tax rate in future, and the necessity to R & D to stay technologically ahead, the dividend cover looks substantial. Debt is minimal, and the current dividend is very well covered by free cash flow. The free float on DLC is small, as the directors own around 70% of the company. So DLC is highly illiquid, which goes a long way to explain the cheap evaluation. It also means that a premium (to the private shareholder) takeover, is unlikely. It would be nice to see the dividend, at the least, increased in line with earnings. | shuisky
05/10/2004 17:19 | No idea, really, johnv, and I've no idea what "recognition" by Microsoft involves and whether it means anything at all. But it's all good publicity for Delcam, which to me looks like an attractive investment. The tax rate appears likely to remain low for the foreseeable future, WdB's forecasts have just been upgraded and I think Delcam may move up soon as people get interested in it. The current valuation seems too low, and there is plenty of room for a good rerating. Delcam smashed it's company broker forecast at each of the last two sets of results, and the upgrade suggests it may be about to do so again. | sirlurkalot
05/10/2004 15:43 | Nice one. How many EPM does microsoft sell and what slice of the pie to dlc. thats what we need to know. | johnv
05/10/2004 13:41 | 5 October 2004 Birmingham Post Software developed by Birmingham-based manufacturer Delcam has been recognised by Microsoft as an extension to its Office Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution. The software, called PSTeam, extends EPM by adding the ability to manage both project and non-project related activity through real time collaboration, and provide audit trails of communication. This gives an organisation the ability to see all activity that is going on and assists in scheduling and re-assigning work. The audit trail also includes documents sent and received with version control, and can be integrated with Microsoft"s Office SharePoint products and technologies for records/document management. PS-Team is integrated with EPM so that "actuals" are reported back into the project server, where the data can be reviewed by the project team and management using Project Web Access. This gives executives a highlevel view of the programme of work, which is based on realtime activity. Given the appropriate access permissions, they can drill down to the detail level in PS-Team to see emails and documents relating to a particular task. For organisations embarking on an EPM strategy, PS-Team helps them take logical steps to move from traditional desktop based project management solutions up to a fully integrated EPM solution. PS-Team paves the way to a fully operational EPM strategy and plays a key role in the ultimate solution. | sirlurkalot
25/8/2004 18:01 | DLC seem to have held up in a very sluggish market. I might just dip my toe in the water again. | quantumx
18/8/2004 16:35 | Trades on a P/E of 10, and even if you apply a normal tax charge of 32% it's P/E is only 13 times. The soft landing scenario for China is excellent for Delcam because it ensures no boom/bust outlook for the region. DLC went ex-dividend today which may have inspired some selling, this stock is so iliquid that even a ridiculosly small volume of 5500 shares can move it. Happy to hold. | shuisky
18/8/2004 14:09 | I wonder what happened to that internal application they were going to launch onto the market? | quantumx
26/7/2004 16:46 | Critical time - Momentum fading away - Given market weakness this could (imo) have further to fall - Nothing wrong just following the trend and stop losses. | pugugly
01/7/2004 13:20 | Seems like China has finally kicked in but still only me as a follower. :( | quantumx
28/4/2004 17:20 | Still only me following Delcam, the market must be very thin given today's pick-up. | quantumx
20/4/2004 14:05 | Flat share price for another 9 months now ..... shame, but happy to hold. | quantumx
30/3/2004 17:33 | Wonder if DLC will get a mention in investors chronicle? I don't buy it any more We have really great potential in China, they were slow joining the technology boom, now they are racing to catch up jal | djalan
30/3/2004 10:30 | I think Russia and China will be winners for this small but international company. Russia and China are growing at 7% per annum I think and some will filter through to DLC, especially on the manufacturing front. | quantumx
29/3/2004 12:32 | OOOOPS! I put the wrong chart on post 44 since changed This share is more than just a hold! | djalan |
