super - "acting in concert" is the phrase used by the FCA

(e) any person or persons in the same group or persons acting in concert who have an interest in 5% or more of the shares of the relevant class

Acting in concert

Persons acting in concert are also known as a concert party. A group acting together in a takeover situation. As defined in the Takeover Code (the Code), persons acting in concert are persons who, pursuant to an agreement or understanding (whether formal or informal), co-operate to obtain or consolidate control of a company or to frustrate the successful outcome of an offer for a company. Control in this context means 30% of the voting rights in the target company.

Ok I know we are not in a formal takeover situation (yet) but the situation is the same so I'm not sure what it is that I'm misinterpreting here?

Yes, there are risks with all shares and obviously a lot of new companies have to raise funds to progress their potential, everyone has to form a view on that risk. I expected DMTR would come good over time, I didn't spot soon enough just how underhand Warne was/is and how much in hoc he was with the big holders, to the detriment of smaller share holders. I expected some bad apples on AIM but it seems to me as if almost the whole orchard is rotten.

DeepMatter Group Plc (AIM: DMTR, "Deepmatter", the "Group"), the digital chemistry data and software company, announces that after the nine months of the financial year and having now signed a material agreement with Merck (see separate statement), the Group expects revenue for the current financial year to be no less than GBP1.5m, an increase of over 50% year on year (2021: GBP1.0m).DeepMatter has secured three strategically important multi-year collaborations during the current financial year and as anticipated continues to see a strengthening of its sales pipeline following a strong first half. The Merck collaboration has the potential to become one of the Group's largest to date.

Yes Vega, If someone had bought £100 worth of DMTR on the open offer announcement then applied for £20,000 of open offer shares they should get about 12.5% of what they applied for. So they should get 2.5 million shares which at 0.3p would be worth £7,500 which would be a profit of £5,000 on an original £100 investment. I can't see the share price holding up at 0.3p but there may be no liquidity to sell. Anyway well done players of the excess application!

DigitalGlassware is a terrible choice IMO

It sounds like it relates to some Italian Glass manufacturer

The RNS whilst positive , does not say anything about revenue size , which makes me think it is small.

in-vitrodigital or

in-vitro-digital

would have been a better choice

Every time I want to be reminded of the stupidity of retail investors I just have a look at the "trading" in DMTR.

Dmtr have said that they are close to the billing period and also negotiating a mid six figure contract.

That could easily mean that the 0.1p shareholders suddenly have a business worth significantly more than it appears. It also might mean it could be taken private at a point when some proper progress is being made.

Wouldn’t be a surprise.

DMTR is issuing 2.8 billion shares at 0.1p. If the shares open at 0.25p on Tuesday that is an attractive selling price to some existing holders. People have questioned why the shares have held up well so far. I think it has been shorters closing their positions and people wanting a token position so they can apply for excess shares in the open offer. It's always tricky calling these situations but I don't see any obvious reason to buy these on Tuesday with so many shares coming on the market on 21st January.DMTR may well be a great recovery stock for 2022 but the technicals will affect the shareprice for the next 3 weeks.

DMTR result is a SAD day for many who believed it had potential. Finally they have fallen mid race so its now no future and even best staff going as i suspect many have left. Poor management and implementation of products and services. Its a shame…

Importance of Research & Analysis vs just 'Research'

Both DMTR and PYC supply services to Biotechs and Pharmaceutical companies

Both were claimed by stock promoters to be potential beneficiaries of the implementation of AI/ML (artifical intelligence/machine learning) to data

DMTR even claim 5 of the top 20 Pharma Companies as clients

PYC have a variety of leading biotechs and Pharmas as customers

HOWEVER

PYC have a Management team with a demonstrable record of achievement (CAGR of over 50% p.a. over last 5 years since Dr Jim Millen appointed)

PYC despite making losses was very solvent : over GBP1m cash versus cash outflow of only c.50k implying 20 years of cash runway

DMTR were generally technically insolvent : cash of c.GBP1m but cash outflow of c.GBP3 m p.a.
