12/12/2007 08:24 | And here is the answer to my earlier question. I have only had time to take a brief look at this, but I'm struggling to see the value. Perhaps others may have a more positive outlook. A £35m placing at 303p in order to raise funds to pay £61m for a business with (06) net debt of £54m, that only made £4m in (adjusted) operating profit in 2006, and which is only growing sales at 6% I'm sure there are significant synergies here, but given the current environment, this does not look like a cheap deal. The sellers at the private equity firm must think Christmas has come early. | shuisky
10/12/2007 10:58 | pe has got a little bit fancy for a stock of this sort- that is the only thing that I think might be holding this one back - that and general small cap weakness | ![]() weemonkey
30/11/2007 23:51 | Schroders - the largest shareholder - recently upped their stake. Absence of sustained upward movement following the update is rather strange given how well the business is trading, but the whole smallcap arena has seen some really odd moves of late. If I had any spare cash to invest would certainly be adding to my existing stake down here. | jfinvestor
30/11/2007 17:54 | Who, in their right mind, is selling this? Baffling. | shuisky

22/4/2007 20:19 | DPH is one of the hidden gems that few people know about. It is an essential part of any portfolio. Good solid growth, decent divi yield, excellent mgmt, expanding markets, new territories and much more. Treating companion animals is a niche the big boys have not been to bothered with, leaving DPH the chance to make hay. The fact that Dresdner have picked up coverage means more people will be attracted to the company, which will do no harm to the share price. Just because the mkt cap is not huge it does not make a company like this a huge risk to invest in. I am looking forward to holding on for another four years of good solid defensive (but not pedestrian) growth!!! | mallet3
20/4/2007 12:26 | we are through . a close around 222 would be good | ![]() weemonkey |
