I liked the results too. The margin improvements in distribution have fed through to increased profitability and they look on track to start increasing revenue and profits via marketing of pharma. Debt/Equity is still uncomfortably high but they have been reducing it with strong cashflow. I hold.

The results today are excellent with increased profits, cash flow and margins. The outlook is positive and this could be a growth company to follow. Vets seem to moving more towards prescribing pills and potions for animals.

" The forecast growth rate of 13.5% is in excess of the PER of 11 and there is margin of safety provided by the new drug opportunitites which should provide the company with additional medium term growth."

deccra made a 10 % lower T/o in the last quarter of last year the veterinary industry is more lively this year and the company is benefiting from exchange advantages expect a significant 15-20% increase in margin and a very rozy report at half year unlike last year. the shares are still below last year but should be at 1.80-2.20

Annual General Meeting



At today's (23 October 2003) Annual General Meeting, Michael Redmond, Chairman,
told shareholders:


"As I indicated in my statement in the 2003 Annual Report, we are already
benefiting from a number of initiatives introduced across our businesses which
have assisted in improving group operating margin.


"I am pleased to report that the improved group performance witnessed in the
second half in comparison to the first half of the financial year ended 30 June
2003 has continued. As a result pre tax profit in the first quarter has shown
an improvement over the same period last year.


"Your Board remains confident the group will continue to make progress."


All resolutions were duly passed.

DPH: sales #180m; mkt cap #58m; dividend yieid over 4%, share selling for less than 10 times forward 2003/2004 earnings; update on the first 3 months' trading out tomorrow.



Meanwhile, brokers tipped Dechra Pharmaceuticals' upcoming annual meeting next week to be an upbeat affair. Recent full-year results from the group topped City expectations as the company registered a pre-tax profit before exceptional items of £6.75m. The positive trend at Dechra is said to have continued into the start of the current year with sales in the first three months up on those achieved last time around.

My prediction has come true, looking at the graph, a cup shape is forming, there will be further upside. It is a good business to invest in . It is recession proof. The company is clearly on the track of recovery and success. It is pity it has not generated enough interests among investors.I think it will reach at least £1.30 towards the end of the year.Good luck to those intelligent and shrewd investors.
