Appointment of Administrators

Further to the announcements of 20 July and 8 August 2012 the Board of Dawson International reports that, following conversations between the directors and the trustees of the UK defined benefit pension plans and having taken extensive advice, regrettably the respective Boards of Dawson International and of its principal UK trading subsidiary, Dawson International Trading Limited ("DITL"), and of the intermediate UK holding company, Dawson International Holdings (UK) Limited ("DIH"), have been left with no option but to appoint administrators with immediate effect. Consequently, Gary Steven Fraser and Blair Carnegie Nimmo, both of KPMG LLP, have today been appointed as administrators of Dawson International, DITL and DIH.

The directors of Dawson International would emphasise that there remains no intention to appoint administrators for the US knitwear business, Dawson Forte, which is well funded and continues to trade normally.
